Seems like a decent deal to me. Should be a worthy upgrade for those toting 1680x1050 screens.
This particular card has a detachable fan, for easier cleaning. Nice addition, but doesn't make a huge difference I guess.
yes when they produce something that doesn't resemble a fan forced heater.
Lol, didn't see that one. That's probably a better deal, but this one does have the OC+aftermarket cooler. Both are quite decent, but not shocking.
So would I be better off getting this GTX 460 or splashing out $300 on a 6870?
The 6870 is more powerful.

But then there's the advantage that SLI has over Crossfire (greater performance increase) so it depends whether you'd be thinking of getting another card later or not (and also whether your motherboard could support them)
This isn't too bad, especially with the aftermarket cooler.
The 768MB VRAM sort of worries me.
I'd wait though for next year, after new video cards coming out mid-December drive prices down even further.
Still not a bad deal.
