Cheap Pre-Ordering Price for Keyboard?

Hi guys,

I was recently looking for a new mechanical keyboard online and came across new Corsair Gaming K68 RGB available for pre-order on mwave. Mwave listed it at $129 (which is really cheap) compared to US's Best Buy is selling it for USD $119.99, so I am wondering if there are any catch in pre-ordering it on mwave?

A quick search on staticice revealed that PLE, CPL and Umart are also taking pre-order for it for $129.

UPDATE: It is now $219 on both PLE and Umart, $175.00 on CPL with an ETA of 23/02/2018. And with that I have paid and place an order on mwave for $129. They won't charge me more if they decided to bump it up to $219 as well…right?

    Depends, some pre-orders from some shops take a deposit for items they don't know the full price of yet. Usually, they're super clear about this though, and there's no indication that is what is happening with the link you provided.

    They certainly shouldn't charge more than you've authorized without asking, though if you decline they may refund the order and call it a price mistake.

    You might get lucky though.

      Yea, there wasn't any indication when paying or on the invoice saying that the $129 is only a deposit. The order did move from pending to processing so hopefully I will get lucky.

    thanks for your first post.
    do you really need a Spill Resistant keyboard?
    maybe don't eat in front of the computer.
    why would you pay more for a new model when you can buy one now and cheaper?

      I don't really need the spill resistance feature, it was the customisable RGB that I was interested in.

      And this is actually cheaper than all the current Corsair RGB mechanical keyboard, which made me skeptical about it.

        pretty sure all Corsair, and cooler master RGB is controllable
        do some research on what you want to buy

          I wanted a Corsair one since they are more reputable with keyboards and it will match my rig + equipment which are mostly from Corsair.

          Yea as I said I prefer Corsair and their price are similar as well so yea.
