Start with the basics and look to compete within ebay first. Have a good name that is memorable and matches what you do. Have good images of the product, present the supporting informational in a professional manner. Have a good range of products that are priced really well - you want volume to build your business.

With your own site you could do more search engine marketing and search engine optimisation. Alternatively you could run a facebook page as your website instead and advertise through there.
Start small, experiment, experiment, experiment. Try to focus on limiting your financial risk - you have a whole world of competitors out there. Try to think about whether you can do anything different than anyone else. What makes your business unique?
