Issues with Amaysim Groupon deal

Anyone else have issues with the Amaysim groupon 6 month deal?

My service was cut off yesterday. I signed up in September, this is the final month for me so its not too surprising.

I contacted them this morning, and apparently they've removed the 1.5gb service so I couldn't resume that, but they've upgraded me to the 5GB service for no extra charge.

Sidenote, amaysim do the 28 day thing which makes it hard to work out the end date, so I used this website to figure it out

  • So much trouble! And customer service (surprisingly) rude as well. Will not return or extend based on this. Have had several occasions where auto renewal has been turned off automatically resulting in loss of service. They have pretty much blamed me for this and refused to reinstate the service, have had to really push to have it reinstated.

  • Agreed. Ts and Cs / conditions for when it is activated and how long after you have to use is murky as well. But then so are other telcos.

  • My amaysim has been cut off randomly yesterday too! I also got an email that said: " Something went wrong and we were unable to process your recent transaction." I didn't do anything on my end though, so no idea what prompted this.

    • Did you disable automatic payments?

      • I didn't change anything on my end. I'm on the 6 month amaysim/groupon deal, and I have calculated that they've cut off my service at exactly 5 lots of 28 days rather than 6 lots of 28 days. The 'Payments' link is quite helpful in showing invoice dates etc.

        • Oh. I've had problems with Amaysim before, so I took extra effort to make sure that they couldn't bill me beyond the 6 month period. I assumed they tried to bill me for the next cycle way in advance, failed, and automatically cut off the service.

        • at least Amaysim CS were pretty good about adding my 6th month back on. I'm guessing they must have had a few customers in the same boat recently.

  • I was on the same groupon deal finished and disconnected feb5, checked credit card online was charged another 25 by amaysim on Feb 6 despite the account being closed and ported to another provider, check your direct debits, never again will i deal with these thieves to save money

  • yes ive had problems with them recently too i wont be signing up for anymore promo deals with them

  • The service has been cut off just b4 the sixth renewal, had live chat with them half an hour ago, all sorted. Been told no more $25.00 2G plan so been given$30.00 5G plan .

  • My service was cut off after 4 months. I activated/ported it 2 months after purchase. Rep told me the 6-month started on the purchase date, instead of activation date. Anyhow, I've been given one more month of 5G plan. I did disable auto-renew and switched to bpay beforehand though.

  • They just charged me $25 and i havn't even used up the 6 renews…… need to call them tomorrow
