Which IMO is a really good deal.
Just wondering what people think of the S8? Is it worth getting the plan or will the phone be outdated quite fast?
Currently on an iPhone 6s which lasts half a day at best so really looking for an upgrade.
Would I be better off getting something like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2?

EDIT: I remember there was a bad batch of iphone 6s batteries that were dodgy and get free replacments

@Divitini: A friend very recently went for a replacement and also got a brand new phone because the battery had apparently swelled up and damaged the phone. This was for an out of warranty iphone 6.
@phew: Hopefully this happens to me! Phones been getting quite hot in my pocket even when it's locked.

If you're the kind of user who wants their handset protected with a cover and screen protector the S8 poses a challenge if you go the tempered glass option as a lot of users have reported the glass lifting and so have to press very hard for a response, falling off as the glue appears to be only applied on the sides or not fitting well with a case. There is a product from Korea that make GOBUKEE GALAXY S8 Full Glue Tempered Glass which may address some of these issues.
Does you iPhone 6s still under warranty?
Just last month, my sister sent her 6s Plus to apple store, trying to get the battery replaced. The store tech initially offer her free battery replacement as her phone was still under 2 year warranty. However, when they tried to change the battery, they found it too hard to get her phone opened up. End up she left the store with a brand new replacement phone (6s Plus), all FOC.
