  • …. what exactly is this? a container to hold fetta?

  • The glad wrap works well too.

    • Free is free!! Now to look up fetta recipes…

Free is free but you have to pay $10 for 400gr of fetta($25/kg) which is expensive IMHO
I would rather get the real thing: $12 400gr Dodoni feta(now $10.50 at Woolies) that comes in a container submersed in brine. Brine is the only way to keep your feta fresh!

        • Hmm, good tip, thanks!

Who needs recipes? Eat it straight out of the packet.

Or you could just buy a Dodoni feta that comes in a container with brime. Then you'll taste what real feta tastes like…

I know, a bit pricey, but it often goes on special at Coles and Woolies, or you can buy it from Costco for $18 any day (they also had it on special for $15 not long ago).

      $10.50 from Woolies for 400g ;)

  • Bulgarian Feta is an excellent rich and creamy sheep's milk cheese. I use this in dishes that require a stronger and more salty type of feta. Dodoni Feta is a wonderful cheese as well.
I have purchased South Cape Feta cheese in the past, sadly nowhere as good.

Yeah, nah. I’m an ozbargainer, but still value my health too much to have cheese from Bulgaria after what happened in Chernobyl. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/radioactive-milk-and…
No wonder why most of their neighbouring countries won’t even touch it, although it’s sold at a fraction of the original Greek made feta cheese. We are in our own little world here…

      • I'm not too concerned, regrettably we all sometimes unwittingly consume contaminated and possibly toxic imported foods.

It has been well reported that dangerous products are getting past Australia's import and food safety regulators.
A majority of imports are not even tested … very disturbing.

btw … the article is in reference to Belarus not Bulgaria.

    wow. a free plastic container.

  • Protect your fetta keeper by double-bagging it with a keeper-keeper
