Nespresso compatible variety.
@jv Lipton knew that customers were getting sick and tired of having to dunk the teabag up and down in hot water so saw capsules were a better way to milk more money from time poor customers! So wasteful, don't really taste that great I think - but for free it will taste fantastic #OzBLife
Speaking of coles freebies, I received a free 4 pack of fever tree tonic with my coles online order over the weekend. Any idea how it could've been activated? It's marked in the invoice as something like free sample. It's a decent freebie.
Pretty common occurrence when you buy Coles online. Used to get freebies all the time.
Seriously? Teabags too difficult?
Yeah, I think it is a little silly. You might as well make a pot of loose leaf tea as firing up the Nespresso machine is probably the same effort. The only benefit here is this is free.
Doubly so because if you're switching from making coffees to making teas you really want to run a few cycles of hot water to clear the lines, adding way more effort.
Boiling water for teabags could be.
I can see "some" scenarios where this could be useful.
Boiling water using kettle takes some time. Even with microwave, boiling 1 cup of water takes 1.5 minutes, depending on the power of the microwave oven. You can get a cup of tea with nespresso machine in less than a minute.
Some people don't drink coffee. When they are in a hotel, with a nespresso machine and kettle, having a tea capsule can be a better convenience. You can never be sure what have the previous guests did to the kettle (I have seen report guests use hotel kettle for cooking, pee bottle, and whatever they can think of).
The email I got says :
"Collect 500 BONUS POINTS when you purchase NEW Lipton Tea Capsules at Coles."
Same
same here, are they ranking customers into levels?
Yes, apparently, we're not 'Gold' or ' Silver' customers, just 'Bronze'
No, you're probably gold that's why you don't get the freebies :)
I recently got an email to say I was within the top 1% in Australia for points collection last year, and I never get freebies, I only get bonus points.
Nothing for me.
I once ground up some tea leaves with my burr grinder and filled it in my reusable nespresso pod and gave it a good tamping.
The concoction that came out has to be the most concentrated tea shot I've ever smelled. Drinking that would probably kill me.
I doubt these pods are that much filled with tea though.
capsules ???
