Wii Console Bundle $228.00 Dick Smith (Wii Sports Resort Pack)

132

Real bargain or real retards at DSE? (Like mcdonalds they always stuff something up)

Just got back from getting a friend their xmas gift, a Wii bundle. Showing $268 on the website. I have attached a copy of the receipt. Was scanned in as $228 with a bonus EA game. Can't find this price advertised on any website in Australia.

Includes:

1x Black Wii Console (With the new controller that includes built-in MotionPlus)
1x Nunchuk
1x Wii Sports game
1x Wii Sports Resort game
1x EA Sports Active (More Workouts) game

Note: Looks like this is advertised in at least one local paper around Australia, might end this Sunday. The staff at DSE didn't know about this deal though, so make sure you let them know.

Nice, good work! Their catalogue that ends on the 12th also states this pack is $268. Like I said they always stuff something up as it's not in the NT news!

        • can we get a scan/link to the ad or what paper is it? :)

  • Dick Smith have real BAAD customer service. Come on DIck.

why would anyone buy a wii now when you can get xbox360 kinect bundle for like $299 and an arcade version for $149….

Wii is pretty much dead, Nintendo has pretty much stop supporting it and getting ready to release Wii HD….

    • I thought every family in Australia has one by now? Even Santa doesn't bother delivering these.
Personally I'm tired of wiping the dust off mine ;-)

"xbox360 kinect bundle for like $299 and an arcade version for $149"

Where can you get them for your mentioned prices?

      3 good reasons

      golden eye
      new super mario brothers
      donkey kong returns

WII HD or WII 2 has been delayed until 2012 apparently

  • Can this be bought online or instore only?

    • Instore only, cat number doesn't work online.

  • Hmm, I'll check at work today if it works here in QLD, if so I'll be selling it to people over the catalogue pack.

Also, I'm sure you're aware that your opening statement is quite rude and not true.

    • Mcdonalds always stuff something up, everyone knows that!

I mean comparing Dick Smiths to them and calling them retards.

        • Maybe you should read VBO and Viper1981 below… Sorry dude… DSE staff are retards!

Real bargain or real retards at DSE? Well I guess that has now been answered… This is either another Staff screw up or DSE staff are not trained… Probably both.

Their is a very good chance this is a real deal, as mentioned when I posted this… The staff just don't know or care.

Have you EVER worked retail before?
Be honest now, ill know if you're lying.

  • retards? poor form dude

    • Check your facts dude! Eat more greens rather than smoke it.

  • Rejected at Morley DSE, even with the printout of the receipt.

He looked and even showed me the computer screen that it wasnt valid.

What they DO have is the standard Wii, console only, non-motion sense, for $228.

He simply said the store on the receipt made a stuff-up and from what I saw, I agree.

So not really an OzBargain, more-so a lucky customer and a dumb sales assistant.

    Thanks!

    • As mentioned the staff at DSE are retards, this is a real deal as the poster below has shown… He didn't receive the EA game though… They are just not trained or care mate. 430038 EA Active Merry WiiMas! is stated on the receipt.

Some kind of bonus offer. All DSE computers sync to the main server every morning so all the prices are the same, for memory Morley is the head office in WA so I would either ask to speak to the manager and show the print out. Him showing you their computer screen won't prove anything if it's a bonus offer that was for example faxed to all stores and never passed on (it will have a unique manual code for their computers, not just scanning the barcode on the box).

The EA game I received was not sealed and I'm not even sure they sell it off the shelf. So once again either bad trained staff, retards or another DSE screw up.

This is not true. I spent like 15 minutes trying to put through this pack and the computer simply didn't.
For a pack like the one on the receipt, we just enter the cat number or scan the Wii.
Then the bonuses are added automatically as shown by the stars next to them.
However, when I put the code for the Wii in, it only added a discount code to bring it down to $228.
I found the Ea Merry Xmas code but couldn't add it, even after scanning the EA More Sports game.

I've been doing this job for over two years now, I know how the computers work.
        So dont even bother arguing.

  • Went to DSE Blacktown today after work.
They sell the pack for $228
1x Black Wii Console (With the new controller that includes built-in MotionPlus)
    1x Nunchuk
    1x Wii Sports game
    1x Wii Sports Resort game

EA Sports Active (More Workouts) game is not included!!!!

    • All I can say is it's on the receipt and it was received when I purchased the pack. Just retarded staff mate. At least it's a real deal, I'd call them up and get the EA game. Show the print out, it's pretty clear on the receipt "430038 EA Active Merry WiiMas!" and "Wii EA Sports Active More" with a bonus offer symbol next to it. They probably just don't know what code to punch in or was never told about it.
