Using your GB isnt really a deal for others, but 6c USD is still cheaper Thanks

These sensors are getting more and more expensive.
I bough this one in December from Gearbest for $5.99 USD.Price freeze on their products, so cant compare last years discounts
Tell us more about this price freeze.
Chinese New Year?
Everyday price of this is $12.66AUD on Aliexpress. After 4% cash back it's $12.15 so this "deal" is really an everyday price.
Not cheap or a bargain. US$7.87 at Gearbest just with free signup points. Equals A$10.06 using Gearbest exchange rate.
As @MorrisJ says, even better if you've already got extra points from a deal using a code etc.Why is this 'non-deal' getting votes?
Wow, expensive, I've bought 5 in the last year and they've all been under $8Au del.
Too many fake Xiaomi deals recently. A quick search in ozbargain historical posts finds many better deals
You cant compare historic posts with current market, thats like saying dont buy that house as it was $100k cheaper last year.
If a house was $100k cheaper just last year you probably shouldn't not buy it…
But anyway, even comparing to this years deals (2 weeks ago) this was not a great deal. Talk to a store rep and you could easily get it for around US $7.The market price, at discount, has always been around $7-$8. Nothing has happened recently in the market place to make this item nearly double. I really don't think you can compare this to house prices.
If that is the case where are these $7-8 units?
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/357112 ($8.93)

+others buried in large Xiaomi sales. They certainly don't come up as often as the other Xiaomi items such as the door/window sensors, but sure enough, they do, and they are always sub $10Aud. $12Aud is the most expensive I've ever seen it, on special.

$9, but certainly nothing like $12.
@OzBeergain: no that’s in past deals where can you get it now for that price?
@asa79: That's a current deal posted 26 minutes ago.
Cheaper at Gearbest, can use your GB points as well.
$9.47 USD with free shipping + can use GB points.
I just paid $6.63USD ~AUD$8.50?
