        mashallah

  • Anyone wanna lend me their 1080ti ? :D

    • +7

Yeah no worries mate. You'll find one of my spares in the cupboard on the left behind the gold bullion. ;-)

  • +1

Surely these keys are not genuine?

    • +1

They are genuine. They come with purchases of 1080(ti). However you can only activate one code per GPU and some say they are tied to the serial number of the GPU but I don't think that's right.

      • +3

So they've just taken the free keys from 1080ti purchases and are now selling them?

        • +1

Miners maybe? Or perhaps codes that were provided during the promo period when you got the game free with the card and they were 'acquired'?

I just bought one and it works fine.

  • Errr what about 1070!? Oh well…

  • +1

Just bought a key and redeemed, thanks so much for this. Refused to pay the suckers price after how they ripped everyone again so hard with the lack of content.

    • I dont disagree with your actions in principal. But i really dont get how people keep saying destiny 2 has no content, it has a lot more than most games that get released nowadays. people seem to complain that there isnt enough to spend 100s of hours in it playing new stuff, but isnt that the same as any other game? I spent easily 30+ hours (not including crucible) before i was really 'grinding', that was just finishing the story, playing all the smaller missions on each planet, playing the strikes a few times each and public events as i came across them. then another 15-20 hours of crucible mixed in top of that before finally 15-20 hours of 'grinding' for power level 305.
I have since played another 25-30 hours of the Osiris DLC, more crucible and grinding to power level 335. I definitely understand the complaints towards the DLC cost for its content value but the base game was pretty damn big.

    • how long have you had your 1080/1080ti? nvidia used to give these keys out for free, the keys from this deal are likely farmed through questionable methods

      • A few weeks. Yeah i missed out on any free games but got a stupidly low price for a whole system built with a 1080ti so i dont mind at all.

  • Not sure if i should.. or just play my Xbone version….

  • +2

price has just gone up to $23

  • Wait, surely Kinguin is not officially supporting this. Why would you need to go through them?

Are they really ripping people off selling something for $13 that they should be getting for free after buying a GTX1080/ti?

That promotion has finished, so codes have been acquired from somewhere. I bought my card before the promotion started so I missed out.

    • +2

How is it ripping people off? Its like if a player got a code for free but didn't want to play so they're selling it

  • I bought one earlier in the week and even paid the 2 euro surcharge to make sure it didn't work.. That said, for $13 it's a steal.. Took me a couple of hours to warm up to it but all good..

These would've been codes supplied with a 1080 purchase.. I got shadow of war with mine and was annoyed that I missed out on destiny.. If you do a search on Kinguin, other region US/UK geforce codes are double the price of the AU code..

    Looks glorious on a 55" OLED 4k display at 60fps :)

'even paid the 2 euro surcharge to make sure it didn't work.'

      Interesting strategy.

Must also feel great with the input lag.

      • Yeah.. none :)

        • Sounds great! Are you from the future?

According to DisplayLag, the best monitors have a lag of around 9-10ms. And the best 55" OLED 4K display has around 28ms.

I'm not sure how these milliseconds affect Destiny 2's gameplay, but there's definitely input lag which may be a problem for competitive players.

        • +1

@gorillainwild: haha hardly.. I have a 55" LG C7 OLED, so I'll assume it's the same input lag as the 65" which is 21ms, as the B6/C6/E6 are last years model. If I was a 12 yr old sucking down lemonade and eating lollies, sure, i'd definitely notice 10ms but as a middle aged man.. nope.. I play games purely for eye candy.
