Any tips for watching Planet Earth: Blue Planet 2 in 4k? Like alot of people, I got a new TV at boxing day and don't really want to watch the channel 9 version because I feel it will spoil it for me.
I don't have a 4K blu-ray player, so if it can be streamed that would be ideal.
No, I think they mean Blue Planet II. I've seen it advertised on Channel 9, but obviously this won't be broadcast in 4K.

Ive watched the series in HD on my chinese box streamed from china… although not in 4K the quality of the HD version was very good

I heard in the UK the BBC set up some sort of 4k stream. Guess it was wishful thinking the same thing would happen here.

That because the BBC got a truckload of money from Ch9 to first dibs. I imagine it'll be available in May or whenever Ch9 finish showing it.

BBC iPlayer has the 4k stream. They also allow you to download & watch offline (which is what I do..as atreaming HD from the UK is a bit jittery)

I think (as per the poster above) you are referring to Planet Earth II. AFAIK Blue Planet 2 in 4K or otherwise is not yet available in Aus.

I guess Netflix would get it eventually, IIRC they have the first. Streaming 4K needs a very fast connection, usually about 30mbps. If you would like to go the legal route, your easiest option would be buying an Xbox One S as a cheap 4k player on sale for $200-250 which would set you up for all 4k blu rays.
Alternatively, you can go the illegal/torrenting route.
