Anyone moon gazing tonight?
The lunar eclipse in Melbourne is off to a good start. About 1/4 of it is now eclipsed.

No, it is cloudy
Would like to see but clouds are in the way.
its cloudy and cold outside
I'm watching it, it's pretty cool.
No clouds for me in Melbourne.
Of course as it's getting to the best part it also is getting cloudier.
Great views here in Perth, no clouds at all where I am.
I got some nice photos from my backyard in Perth :)

Very nice
Great shot! Thanks for sharing.
Yes, woke the kids up and we watched it will it was in full shadow. (Cairns had cloud early but luckily it cleared)
Yep,woke up & remembered it was tonight.Watching it now in northern Vic .It's in the northern sky & looks to be about 3/4 of the way through eclipse , not as red as before & a few clouds but still really visibile.
I was sleeping.
Cloudy when I went to bed, cloudy when I woke up.
:)
Stop being so creepy!
4/10 underwhelming
Live in Fitzroy, got a nice clear view of the eclipse with no cloud; we were lucky as we only had to wait about 20 minutes for the full eclipse to occur. Lovely red colour but my iphone couldn't get a good picture of it :). Need to play around with some new camera apps again.
Got to love Melbourne weather - 3 days ago it was 30 overnight and last night we had fleece tops, pants and shoes and I was still cold. Still it it great for regulating the temperature in our house. In summer we normally have a range between 20 and 30; which is reasonably livable with.
Really clear night in Perth, I had a great view from my balcony. Only bad thing is my Canon 100-400 Lens is broken, it wont focus in manual or auto so I didn't get any pics.
This, is from just south of Mandurah. Nikon D3300/Sigma telephoto 70-300. Even managed to capture a few stars, which is great considering there were some nearby streetlights. I like the glow at the top-left edge just as it was about to go full orange. This is straight from the camera card, btw- no fixing.
Brilliant! I haven't put mine onto my PC yet, but I'm hoping mine will be similar to this. I used Canon 750D at 200mm (using an 18-200).
All cloudy in Brisbane. I had another look at 11.30pm and still couldn't see anything … not even moonlight illuminating the clouds. Then I remembered it was a total eclipse. :)
Yeah, last I looked it was very dark red, almost black-red.
No, I have to ozbargain
