Wine Companion tasting note:
This is a step up of intensity of fruit, forcefully reflective of the finest parcels across the estate's holdings. This bottling boasts a more velvety, plush velour than the entry-level sibling, along with palpable creamy vanillin oak pillars following 24 months in a combination of new and used French oak. Again, despite the torrid challenges of such a warm vintage, there is nothing drying about these tannins. There is gravitas and flow, flecked with licorice and a hint of mint. The ripe tannins are soaked in coffee liqueur.
