How Much Is Your Water Bill Per Quarter?

How Much Is Your Water Bill per quarter ?

Mine is about $ 350 pq , that's $ 1400 pa.

Fixed Sewerage/Access charge already $ 183
Water usage $ 160

Just curious, are the Sewerage/Access charges same across all areas ?

and how much water did you use to fill your 35k investment pool?

      • +2

        Costed $35,000

  • Mine is around that too, in a household of 4. I did discover a slow leak in our sprinkler system which we never use. Hopefully next quarter it will be cheaper? :)

    • How much is your Fixed Sewerage/Access charge ?

      • Roughly same as you, so basically if we use no water, we will still have to pay the $183 right?

        • Yep :(

  • ~$280 all up for a household of 1. But the usage charge is actually 1/4 of what 4 x 2br 1bth units use because there's only 1 meter/connection for the block. 4x connection charges though! The majority is connection charge :\

  • $135 for 1 person in an apartment. $35 is usage, rest is the sewerage etc

  • my water is higher than gas bill & power bill in a 2 person house. what a great country !

  • Don't know how but for our last bill we paid up to $590 and for this bill we only paid $235. Water usage = $79 and Sewage is $87 Family of 4

  • Always more than i imagine it would be

  • Our rental covers the first 50kl. We havent exceeded that so unsure on the price.

Why start the poll at $200?

The water bill here with South East Water is much lower than that.

    2 people.

Going backwards in time, last 15 bills quarter ending
    Jan 2018 $102, $129, $73, $96
    Jan 2017 $96, $90, $64, $93
    Jan 2016 $93, $91, $61, $92
    Jan 2015 $88, $92, $57.

    • Are you sure you're showering daily mate?

      • Shower every morning.

Washing machine - front loader 2 times per week.

No outdoor water usage which makes a huge difference.

Not sure why everyone else is paying so much more.

The smaller bills each year have a $100 credit but have a $75 additional charge so that's why they're about $25 less than the others.

5 x 25000 litre water tanks have negated the need to purchase water for a very long time.

  • I live in an over 50s village and I only pay water and drainage consumption charges. They are paid monthly and never vary much so I picked the last bill (mid December - mid January) and multiplied by 3. The result was $154.50 + GST so we are paying about $620 + GST for the year for water and drainage. Electricity consumption charge is not too bad either at $0.179 per kWh (incl. GST). Electricity supply charge is $1.15 per day (incl. GST).

  • Old apartment, live mostly by myself and barely at home. Pay minimum 450 for water because the entire apartment complex shares 1 water meter.

  • Own/live in a strata title unit and it is always fixed at exactly the same amount under $200 no matter how much water is used.

  • Water usage charge for 2 people = $14.59 (19kL)

State bulk water charge = $53.52

    Water access charge = $51.63

    Sewerage access charge = $131.97

    Total = $251.71

    • in Brisbane?

Looks like we are paying $184 pq for fixed access charges, plus usage on top of that.

    • Also in Brisbane. You guys are doing well on the water consumption. Ours is over double that for a couple.
