Sirena tuna small cans are finally half price again
I’ve been waiting for this for ages - particularly the small cans. The cheapest I’ve seen them has been $2 per tin recently

We find this to be consistently be the best, however it all comes down to taste I guess which is different for everyone. Plus I like the yellow cans.
not as good as $2 for the large can, oh well….
We still have a cupboard full of $2 cans but will buy this as well. These are great for single serves and taking places, and the $2 cans are great for sharing with someone else in one sitting.
I usually buy a whole heap at this price and stick it in my camping pantry. YUM YUM YUM!

Which brand does ALDI source it’s tuna from?
It is usually about this price.It tastes very similar, at the the chilli in oil one anyway. I thought maybe rebranded myself as some things are. The contents percentages listed are slightly different tho.
It is a bit of an annoying game how supermarkets do that. As if people will be 'loyal' to a supermarket brand of tuna. The only reason the supermarkets do it is to screw the supplier with the threat of switching to someone else. the label stays the same.
meanwhile, the customer loses a bit more connection to the origin of the product.
But the customer gets it a bit cheaper.

Theres 2 types. The chunky one is like sirena, the flakey on is like johns west. Those are about 80 cents a can I think.
Yes, aldi have the good stuff that is sirena and they have some other rubbish that tastes like John west
