Nitecore chargers - what's the difference?

I am finally dragging myself out of the stoneage and looking at battery chargers. It'll mainly be for the run of the mill AA and AAA batteries.

The nitecores seem to get a good rep on OzBargain and are offered for a reasonable price.

What's the difference between the New i4 and D4? The New i4 seems to accept more Li-Ion/LiFePO4 battery types and also D size.

Is one better then the other?

I got the lii500. I don't have any feedback yet but it might be worth considering. Did you get the eneloop deal from catch today?

  +1 Get the lil500 as it can charge all 4 bays independently at 1Amp where as the nitecore I think can only do 500ma when all 4 bays are in use.
