Quite a good range of games on sale this Thursday at BigW, alot of half price games. Prices actually go live at 2pm Wednesday if your interested (so the company can prepare the catalogue). And if you have a woolies staff discount, you can price-match at dick smith to get 10% off until Sunday on anything. Another tip is that you can check the current price of games on the BigW website to check the discount.

    Cheers for the heads up mate, even though knowing ozbargain this will have to be reposted when the deal is 'active'.

    When you say prices go live - does that mean we can go instore and buy at 2pm weds? Or just that the prices will be released?

      It's not uncommon for stores like BigW/Target/etc to make the prices 'live' in their systems the day before the sale. You can usually make your purchases at the sale price before the sale actually starts.

        The prices go live 2pm the day before so we can set up the Catalogue etc. Some brochures have hundreds of shelftalkers and it takes most of the afternoon to set it up. Its not done in the morning of the catalogue because there is only a window of 2hrs before the store opens.

        So yeah you can go in store at 2pm and prices will be live. Might be better to go around 4/5pm to make sure that the stuff has been put out. Big Bulky items that dont have a everyday shelf location might not be put out until the following morning, but 95% of the stock is out.

      Surely they're not going to make them repost it - it's launching in less than 24 hours, and I for one would prefer to know a day before than too late.

      And the guidelines if for non-active deals to not be posted. This AFAIK qualifies as an active deal as it will happen.

      Active deals refer to group buys which require a certain amount of people for the deal to go ahead. This deal will go ahead no matter what.

    just a heads up, theres a typo in this post. viva pinata/halo wars for xbox 360 is $19.92 not $12.98. got my hopes up for a moment

    Are these games seriously discounted or are they just Big W's everday low price? Do your homework first as Kmart has Wii games on special until end of trade tomorrow 9/12/10 between $19-$24 for some. Avatar is $24.00 a tad cheaper the Big W!

    Hey guys, not sure if you know, but i usually go to
    DVD.co.uk
    for PS3 games. They are cheaper if the aus exchange rate is strong. The only problem is waiting for the goods to arrive - 2 weeks or more.
