CheapTickets overcharging

I made a booking a week ago with CheapTickets and in the cart the 16% discount was applied. When I got the receipt it didnt apply and charged me full price. Emailed them and they wont help. Anyone had this happen and did they fix it?

  • Yes. It initially showed discount but not when payment went through.

  • Was it a refundable hotel? If so, cancel and rebook, they have discounts all the time. I have to say though, there must be more to the story I have used CheapTickets a few times without this happening to me and had one occasion where I had to contact their customer service when a booking was slow to go through to the hotel and they were most helpful.

    Just sorry on my latest booking it says I've used it so no longer applies.
    It is a bit tedious because it's all in USD and doesn't include tax til you go through all the clicking but i've always found it very clear whether or not the promo will apply then I have to convert the USD to AUD.
    Obviously it`s worth it or I wouldn't bother

    I am pretty much with all of the other commentators. Never had a problem once you are used to all of their idiosyncrasies. Always go through Ebates with no problem. (Go to referrals if you don't have an ebates account)

  • Phoning customer service is your best option.
