Do you ever buy Insurance - GearBest, LightInTheBox, DD4, GeekBuying... etc

Do you ever buy Insurance when purchasing those Xiaomi devices we all love, or anything else.

  1. Have you ever used it?
  2. Which shop was it?
  3. Did it work to your satisfaction?
  4. Is it worth it?
  5. Would you buy it again?
  6. Did you pay for shipping? IS it better to use with free shipping or with paid shipping (eg tracked)?
  7. If you pay for faster shipping and insurance can you get a refund if it doesn't arrive on time?
  8. Can you say it's lost if it doesn't arrive on time but has tracking?

    Your credit card has all the insurance that you'll need

      Good suggestion. Although not all credit cards would have that feature? and can you still use it if you use the CC via PayPal?

    only time i have every paid for it was with a more expensive item from gearbest - (xiaomi mi robovac) so was $8 on a $350 or so order and that was my first ever purchased from them, no complaints and shipping was relatively fast (but still similar to all other non insured packages i have recieved from them) - it it worth it? probably not for small items, but for larger it gave me peace of mind.
    never had to claim on the insurance so don't know if its worhtwhile (hopefully you wouldn't need it to get a refund on an item that never shows up)

    anything small have never bothered with insurance and have never had any problems and probably made ~8 purchases from gearbest now.

    sorry, i wouldn't know the answer to all the other questions, would probably have to ask someone who works for them or one of the affiliates who post here. I'm not sure that anywhere guarantees an arrival date and would give a refund if the product wasn't delivered on time.

    recently bought a phone off of lightinthebox and purchased the shipping insurance. the tracking number doesn't work…. not a good sign. should i be concerned?
