Has anyone here used their 28 Degrees card to deposit to coinbase?
Any issues that I should be aware of?
Have been using my VISA card but getting sick of 'international conversion fees' on top of exchange fees.
Cheers

Coinbase charges in GBP and attracts an international fee.
I get an international transaction fee as well. Using my Qantas Premier card atm. I will be switching to my 28d card.
Fyi you still get charged an international transaction fee if transaction is processed overseas. You get charged a currency conversion fee if not aud
I'm always charged in AUD as stated on Coinbase's website. I've never seen a conversion fee charged, either on Coinbase's website or via my bank account.
Coinbase is crap
Use btc markets to deposit, then transfer to gdax
Don't you get cash advance fee if you actually use 28 degree?
Wouldn't that only be if you took cash out of an ATM?
No, certain merchants classify their transactions differently or the card providers pick up on the names and classify them as cash advance even though it is a simple purchase.
I think in the case of coinbase, they already charge enough fees on their own so purchasing from them will be like buying gift cards so no cash advance fees.
I can be wrong.
Cheers.
28 Degrees works fine on coinbase for me.
Sweet, that's what I wanted to know. :)
Without any cash advance fees?
Ive only done them in the last 3 weeks, there aren't any showing at the moment but I guess there is a chance they charge them when I get my statement.
used visa card before. got charge international transaction fees + coinbase fees.
I hope with 28 Degree I won't get charge at least the international transaction fees.
I seem to be getting smashed with cash advance fees just in the last few days, all I can think is that using coinbase has something to do with it.
How about you guys?
Coinbase did send out an email saying some cards had started to treat coinbase purchases as 'cash advances' so maybe that's it. So with my old card I'd get hit with cash advance fees plus conversion fees?
I think 28 degrees doesn't have conversion fees?
Seems like I got hit with cash advances though unexpectedly much later on, I might give them a call later about it, but credit card companies are hard to argue with…
did you work this out? was it coinbase?
can anyone with a 28degree credit card confirm whether there's the "cash advances" fees after Coinbase announcement of charging purchases with credit card around Feb 2018?
I can confirm that ANZ Travel Adventures charges cash advances fee (not before the new year), the charges hit my account a couples of days last week and they reversed the fees as a goodwill gesture.
Also, I got cash advances charge on Bitstamp
Bankwest didn’t charge cash advances fee on both Coinbase and Bitstamp but they declined my transaction last week with Coinbase.
can anyone confirm this?
Update: Did a coinbase transaction on the weekend and 28 Degrees did charge me a cash advance fee. So I guess that's pretty useless cos it's the main reason I got the 28degrees card in the first place……
International Exchange fees? Coinbase charge you in AUD? They charge a "convenience fee" of 3.99% per transaction, but there should be no exchange fees for the card charge. How are you purchasing?
