[SOLVED] Lenovo ThinkPad E480 Plugin Not Charging

Hi, I bought a Lenovo ThinkPad.When I plug my charger it always shows Plugin not charging (see photo https://imgur.com/a/bo0GJ).Anyone know how to solve this?

  Have a read of this

  If you add the AC adapter when the battery capaticity drops from 100% but still more than 95% (95% - 100%), the battery will not start charging. This is not a bug. It is due to battery charge self-protection feature.

    So If I drop it more then 95% it will charge?

      Give it a try, also had this message in the past and it charges once it goes below 95%.

        Yes, it charges when going below 95% thanks, mate.

  There could be two issues. One is that you may need to reinstall the battery driver or Two the battery is holding sufficient power and does not need to be charged, this is done to conserve power when in Desktop mode.

  damn i had exactly that too!
  but instead of 97 i only got 7% Pluged in Not Charging. already restarted etc so my case is different.

    mine was at 7% plugged before, now it's 26% for a few weeks now

  Would like to know how heavy is the E480 you guys have got. The website says starts from 1.75 kg but the online sales rep says it can go over the 2.0 kg mark…

        Didn't checked it yet but according to me it is around 3 hrs.
