TodoistFreedomFreelancerClubSkillshare2018

Also use "TodoistFreedom" as the fourth code to make it 12 months in total! Also 6K94QXHTQ6. (TDSANEBOX expired)

Was looking around for any deals to activate Todoist Premium, and I found the following codes which manage to activate Todoist for three months free. No payment information required. It gives you extra features such as being able to activate push notifications for reminders. These codes can also stack on top of each other!

Awesome! I pay for Todoist and highly recommend it. Wish I had known about these coupons…. Can you add them all at once? Thanks!

    • +8

Stack them on and saves you renewing for a while then ;P unfortunately doesn't seem you can add them all at once, just open several tabs of todoist.com/redeem.

      • +1

Great - it worked! Pushed my renew date out for an additional 12 months. Thank you so much.

        • +1

          thanks. .worked for me also

        • @nmk: Me too, pushed out renewal for another 12 months :) The best part about this app for me is the Gmail/Chrome extension. You can add emails as todoist items and they link directly back to that email from the app itself.

        • @sweepy: True..! There is new seamless integration with Google calendar also. Try that.

For me, it pushed to 14 months as i used all 5 coupons :)

    • +11

It's some kind of to do list that costs $56 per year? What happens if you are reliant on it after a year but all these coupons are withdrawn. Then over the next 10 years of your life you pay $560 for a to do list?

      • +2

        That's right!

      • My thoughts exactly, interesting that its profitable. Google Keep has simple todo lists which is enough for me.

      • Simple. You pay. It's actually a very good product!

        • But I already have the Notes app on my phone and it automatically syncs to my iPad and Mac. There's even a Reminders app.

        • @AustriaBargain: Well if you're happy with that, keep using that! :)

  • Got a year free, Thanks!
Here's to hoping I get more organised

  • Works for me. Good stuff.

What’s wrong with using my iPhone to do list?

    • +5

Bit more functionality with Todoist, it's cross platform, integrates with Google Calendar and IFTTT. I can do cool things like use my Google Home to add to my list or just type in things like "clean bathroom tomorrow #home" and it will add to my Home list with a due date of the following day. I just find it nicer and less clunkier than the iOS Reminders app.

      • +6

But I can already add reminders and calendar events via Google Assistant / Home…

        • +3

I think "cross platform" is more what I was going for - using Google Assistant as an example. I have Todoist in Firefox as an extension, there's a Windows 10 app, integration with Microsoft Office Outlook, a widget on my Android home screen, there's an Apple Watch app for it as well… you get the idea.

        • +6

@swanny246: Thanks but I always have my phone and Android Wear with me - so no real need for that. I've actually been using Wunderlist exactly the way you describe it but hesitant to migrate to an ecosystem that I may have to pay for in the future…

        • +2

@elektron: Todoist is free for the majority of features, the premium features are just nice little extras on top of it (more business-oriented features than anything). You won't lose anything if you let your subscription lapse. Also FYI Wunderlist is being shut down by Microsoft and users are being migrated over to Microsoft To-do. Todoist have a migration tool that you can use: https://en.todoist.com/import/wunderlist

        • @swanny246: I was aware of the end of life for Wunderlist / its replacement with Todoist but didn't realise that it's only the premium version that wasn't free. Will give it a go - cheers!

        • @swanny246: Hmmm…the migration didn't work… none of my items came across… Not a good first experience

        • @elektron: Worked for me.

        • @rickb: I've tried it the second time - this time it actually asked for an authorisation to log into my Wunderlist account and it worked… Go figure!

        • @elektron: Good to see that it worked. You should now receive an email with a unique code for an additional 2 MONTHS.

        • @rickb: Yep…received and applied!

        • @swanny246: oh no, I didn't know wunderlist was getting shut down at some point 😭 all good things come to an end I suppose

        • But the iPhone Calendar and system is already compatible with Google Calendar, you just need to sync your Google Calendar account in the settings.

    • +3

Todoist can also remind you when you goto/leave a set location/s

  • Todoist is great! Thanks!

  • Where can I apply the codes?

    • +1

By following the link in OP's post (Go To Deal).

  • +2

Should change this to 1 year free? By stacking all four codes?

    • Good point! Will do.

  • +2

Got 9 months (3 months for each code?) but still good enough for me.

EDIT: Didn't see the last code, TodoistFreedom which makes it 12 months

    • +4

Haha yeah, Ozbargain capped me out at three codes in the promo code field :(

      • OzB pro tip: Tilt your mobile into landscape mode.

        • Haha, nah was on desktop and the field just seemed to limit me to a certain number of characters.

  • +3

Wunderlist is what I use. All the features I need

    • +5

They're shutting down and being migrated across to "Microsoft To-Do". Todoist even has a migration tool for Wunderlist users, that's how I came across it ages ago. https://en.todoist.com/import/wunderlist

      • +4

Say it isn't so! Wunderlist is my whole life organiser. It's where I keep track of all my <$1 items from Zapals and Rosegal (not joking).

I've used Todoist, and it's fine, but not as good as Wunderlist (at least the free version). Will try paid now, but don't want to pay an ongoing subscription, especially considering how expensive it is.

        • I've also read that Todoist is not as mature as Wunderlist… Apparently though, the Premium features are nice-to-haves rather than the essentials.

        • +2

I think I might stick with wunderlist until the bitter end then see what's out there. I don't think they've announced a firm date for retiring it a far as I can tell.

      • +2

It’s by the same Wunderlist team so I will probably move to that one. It’s a massive shame but sadly before Wunderlist there was another app for reminders which I don’t remember anymore that closed down too. There is just no money in it and I cannot justify paying $42 a year.

        • +2

I used to use Astrid tasks (the one with the little squid icon). That was pretty good and then, yeah, it closed down. I went through a couple other TODO list apps then settled on wunderlist which has been perfect.

        • +2

          @zaidoun:
          are you me?

  • thanks op

  • Right in time Op! With the piling up tasks, I was looking at a GTD app this morning and almost paid for Nirvana. Thank you for helping me keep my OzB badge.

    • Trello?

    • +1

I use Siri for reminders and notes app for list. I don't know what I am missing really.

  • Wow, thankyou. I can barely afford groceries at the moment and this sort of thing is exactly what I need to keep up with my studies better.

  • How are people applying multiple coupon codes? Can't find the box again after using one

    • +2

just hit back (on browser) and enter another one!

    • +2

Open the link again then you should be able to enter another code.

  • OMG too easy! I use Things, which is superb, and now I can trial ToDoist for a year as well - who knows, maybe its better. Just stacking the 4 codes though - awesome ;)

  • These two worked for me about a month ago, not sure if they are still active (3 months each)

    • Productivityist
    • skillshare

    • Just tried - both have been "used up"

  • Perfect thanks !

  • good on you Op - this is fantastic!

  • +2

Just a correction that it's actually $44.99 AUD (not USD).

    • Cheers mate, corrected.

  • Thanks - really easy to do. Just set up two 12mth accounts for both myself and the wife.

  • $45 is the AUD price.

The USD price is actually $29

  • +2

Get an additional 2 months- import your Wunderlist tasks. Todoist will email you a unique code.

    Perhaps update the OP message.

    • Can confirm this works. Was about to say the same thing. Thanks OP 14 months free!

  • Premium status

    Expires on Jul 1 2019

    Fantastic.

    • +1

Nice. How did you get the extra 3 months?

These codes plus Wunderlist should get you to 22 March (12 + 2 = 22 March)

      • +1

/r/productivity has some coupons from before.

I had applied them last year. This just added the rest of the time.

        • +3

Cool. Now I gotta put reminders in Todoist to periodically check for new codes :)

        • @rickb:

Now that is something you really need todo.

        • +3

@rickb: and don't forget to share here ;)

  • I'll stick to org-mode.

  • Nice. I have been wanting to try it for a while but the steep price keeps putting me off.

  • +1

Awesome OP.. I have been using Todoist for an year now and it's been the best. So far I have used RememberTheMilk & Wunderlist

    • How does it compare to Wunderlist, in your opinion? Is it more clunky, less features? Is the free version as good as the free wunderlist?

      • After fed up with RTM, I started using Wunderlist which I think is a great product as it gives a lot for free for personal need. However, since it's bought by MS and they have a plan to shut it down in favour to promote its own new product called MS To-DO, I shifted to ToDoist and started using it.

Frankly speaking, ToDoist has much clear UI and great features. If you are super google-user (gmail/g-calc etc), this is the product to use as it has superb integration. I think it integrates with outlook also but i never tried that.

My suggestion, started using Todoist and you won't regret..

  • +22

Guys - try 6K94QXHTQ6 . Let me know if it works (for those who have not done the Wunderlist import)

    • Sweet this worked for me (I think it added 2 months). I haven't done the Wunderlist import tho

    • It worked for me!

      • Worked it for me.. now i have todoist till Mar 22 2019

  • How does this compare to Trello?

    • Trello is a Project Management AGILE tool.

    • This is more of a to-do checklist. Has some cool features such as setting reminders based on location.

      • Ok. Cool, thanks

    • you can compare Trello with Asana.

  • +1

Thanks very much! Used to use it but got lazy, this might prompt me to give it a go again.

  • free 2 months premium: "You can get 2 months of todoist free if you import your tasks from Wunderlist. After completing import of your tasks successfully, you will receive an email consisting code for 2 months." Use this link to import – https://en.todoist.com/import/wunderlist (credit: paulpilzer)

  • Where Can I see how many months I've got? This is pretty complicated for a ToDo list!

  • Does anyone have recommendations on a similar tool to this (and wunderlist)? I'm not a fan of the UI.

  • +2

TDSANEBOX - has been "used up"

Other codes still work - plus used 6K94QXHTQ6 from Rick B to give me 11mths

  • Tdsanebox no longer works other 3 are fine. Thanks

  • I can't stand these to do apps that don't let you input a due time for a task. Date is not good enough.

I have just recently tested upwards of 15 different to do/project management/team management apps and disappointed with most of them. The one I have temporarily committed to using is nozbe. It has an ugly UI but allows live 2 way sync with google calendar (including due time). Allows a priority/inbox folder and project folders as well as assigning to team(family) members. Has a built in calendar also and is the most affordable of the advanced tools out there.

    • +2

Todoist will allow you to set a due time - and push a notification at that time - via phone or/and browser. It will also sync with Google calendar and put an appointment for that task at that time.

      • So I have since tried this, it was somewhat unclear and hidden away. I still can't get it to sync at a specific time, I put a reminder for 2PM and it only syncs full day.

Also its a bit limited in that you have to pre-define the event length (60 mins etc for all syncd events). Nozbe can sync the length dynamically.

  • i've been using wunderlist for a while now.

in wunderlist you can view the completed tasks and can bring it back to life by going to completed tasks.
I use wunderlist for repeatable tasks like buying the groceries..

    is it possible in todoist?

    • Yes can do.. you can view 'archived' (completed) tasks and then un-tick them to make them active again.
