So back in the days when i was with my ex-misses we had a Flybuys account (she was an additional card holder) and her Coles Mastercard (soley in her name) was linked to the account as well as my Velocity Card (in my name)
After we split her name and additional card was left on the account until she started using the points, so I called Flybuys to remove her from the account. Low and behold the points were still been deducted (and yes also being credited for her purchases). After some back and forth with Flybuys it was discovered that ONLY her name was removed not the actual additional card s had that removed as well. Now, one would assume that the "coles Mastercard" under her name would also be removed. NOPE, as the Flybuys account was still linked to the Mastercard she was able to again deduct (points also credited). I got all my points back from Flybuys and asked them to resolve the issue.
Flybuys advised only way for this to be resolved is if she (the ex) removed it by calling (i dont have contact with her) or I have another account created and the points moved over, OK so took the latter and low and behold the Master card was still linked. I tried calling "Coles Mastercard" and obviously didn't get to far due to privacy.
Escalated the issue with flybuys as to which they advised they would escalate the issue and have management call me to advise what next would be done (this was months ago), I am still waiting for a call back and I call weekly to receive and update, I only receive a response of "we are looking into it". The last call to them I lodged a formal complaint re: privacy issues (supervisor couldn't even give me a reference number for the complaint).
Flybuys don't have f**n clue what is going on and aren't taking this issue serious at all, it's a breach of privacy and seeing though Flybuys is owned by Coles it amazes me that they cant come up with some resolution (its only been 3+ months), not even a call back once from any representative or manager after being promised several times about the matter being escalated.
Am I just stuck here or is there any other avenues I should take, I have tried to lodge a privacy complaint through the relevant Government agency but I need to lodge a complaint through Flybuys (which I have with no reply from them) to proceed. It seems I have found a flaw in their system to which they don't have an answer for so the easiest path for them would be to ignore it and hope it would go away?
Thoughts??
Wtf can we do?? Ever heard of summarizing?
Sorry but its the sad truth.
