Quality Tempered Glass and Case for Xiaomi Mi A1

Greetings comrade Ozbargainer's how goes the F5 key.

My my new Xiaomi Mi A1 has just arrived (thank you Mr stork) and I'm in need of a good quality tempered glass and case, I was hoping if any ozbargainer's have found a t-glass that has lived up to its specs thought any help would be much appreciated.

I've looked at tempered glass on ebay and aliExpress etc but I have absolutely no idea which ones are true 9H and one that is 2.5D to fully cover the screen.
Are those $1 t-glass's really 8H-9H as rated, or are they pulling numbers out of there buttocks.

As for the case I'm thinking of going for a soft clear TPU case and pouch to attach on to my belt.

Any comments would be much appreciated, and bless you all for reading this.

    I have this tempered glass screen protector, it doesnt fit on the whole screen, however ive dropped my phone a few times and the screen protector cracked but the screen is fine so im pretty happy with it.

    I also have this case, still going strong, its a very thin compared to the bulkier flip cases and i carry my ID and credit card in there so i dont have to carry a wallet anymore. only negative is there isnt a magnet holding the flip case to the screen so if you drop it it may open up…

    Also have this TPU case which is nice and maintains the slim in hand feel of the phone however doesnt offer much protection

      Wow those $1 tempered glasses do work thanks, guess I'll be getting 2 of them. That's a nice case I think I'll get that instead of the TPU case, don't want to risk damage if I do it.

        No worries :)

        Here's a pic of my phone so you can see the screen protector. It doesnt quite cover the whole screen which is annoying, but as i said before its protected it from all the drops so far :). Can also see the crack going through the M and also another small chip on the corner just under vodafone..

        I had this screen protector first, it did cover the whole screen but it didnt stick to the phone properly and kept falling off so i chucked it out.

        Edit: got to say though i really do enjoy the feel of it in the TPU case / without a case, feels great in hand haha.

          Looks like I'm gonna go for the first tempered glass and the flip case, BTW I like your taste on the flip case :).

          How well does an Opal card (Sydney's equivalent of a Myki card) sit inside your phone case? I'm having trouble find a case I like. I originally ordered this but cancelled since a card doesn't seem to sit well inside the case. Was planning to get something like this but not sure if the iPhone 6s+ and 7s+ cases will wrap tightly around the Mi A1.

          @fossilfuel: hey, sorry is the Opal card the same size as a myki? If yes then it can easily. At the moment I have 2 cards and some notes and it fits alright, though u stretched the glue out a bit trying to fit 3 in haha

          @shapers: Apologies shapers, I was referring to something like the TPU case but with thicker material instead of the flip case. The myki card should be the same size as an opal/Medicare/debit card.

          Do you think the case I linked on aliexpress would fit a card on the inside nicely?

          @fossilfuel: ahh sorry! My tpu case can fit a card in there fine, not sure how the hard plastic would fit with a card in it though..

          @shapers: Oh excellent! Thanks for testing it out. I think I'll grab a TPU case in case the armor case doesn't work out.

          @fossilfuel: No worries! Also remember the A1 is the same size as the 5x and there's a lot more cases for the 5x :)

          @shapers: Thanks for the info! Unfortunately I've looked everywhere and still can't find a case that has a card pocket slot on the back :(
