      What I sometimes do is put a temporary message saying using XYZ and please wait a minute, enter the comp ASAP and edit the comment with the refferal. That way the "traffic light" is red and to wait a minute. I might wait until it's safe to enter a bit later on. lol

      Yes that's a good idea. It would have solved some of this threads issues and maybe prevented the rest! I also think it's good practice to look back a few comments before charging in. Phalaxis also demonstrated how to react when you just miss out. In my opinion that was classy and well done :). A simple edit and you can fix the chain before it breaks.
