Xiaomi Mi Band 2 for $11.99 AUD on eBay

I was bargain hunting for a Xiaomi Mi Band 2 and stumbled upon this eBay seller,

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Original-Xiaomi-Mi-Band-2-Smart-…

They seem to be located in China and have sold over a hundred in the last few days. I was skeptical at first but figured I would just lodge a PayPal dispute if it was scam.

Their store only has the one item and the seller doesn't look like they have sold any items in the last 6 months even with their high positive feedback.

Wanted to see if anyone else could pick up any red flags with this deal other than the details I listed above.

Mod warning: User comment indicates that there are issues with this seller. Buyer beware.

  • Scam..

  • There's been a few on eBay recently for $10 AUD or less, think I ordered at $9.55. There's probably multiple sellers at that price point, shouldn't be too hard to find one from a reputable seller.

    • You might get one of tbis soon..

I looked at this as well, but if you look at his seller feedback history, there is nothing within a month, so something is fishy.

Being about 1/3 of the price on Aliezpress (or Banggod/Gearbest) there's something dodgey. Apart from a hacked a/c it couldd be a fake.

There are actual fake Xiaomi Mi Band 2's out there. I'd go with everyone else's advice. Avoid as it could be a hacked account and/or fake Mi Band.

    Bought!!!

  • I wouldn't recommend getting one of these cheap ones through ebay. Last week I ordered a cheap Mi Band 2 on ebay for $19.99. It turned up yesterday - it is most definitely not a Mi Band 2. The instructions say it's called an M2, and it uses an app called Droihealth to connect (Mi Bands use Mi Fit). I've requested a refund from the seller through ebay, hopefully they won't mess me around. The seller has already asked for photographic proof that it's the wrong item.

  • Ordered one in Feb, never arrived but strange enough, tracking info indicated it got to australia and was "being handed to local postal service". Lodged a dispute in resolution centre for $10 lol, it's more the principle of it. If they're taking $10 from 100 people who couldn't be bothered chasing it up, that's $1000! Not getting my bloody $10!
