One Way Direct Flights from Bali to Melbourne

Looking to book a one way flight from Bali to Melbourne via Jetstar. When I look at roundtrip flights from Melbourne to Bali, the direct flights show up as available for all the dates I'm looking at, but when I look one way from Bali to Melbourne only, they all show up as sold out across 3+ months of dates.

Anyone know what's up with this?

  • I'm told by my Flight Centre girlfriend, you can't fly one way from Bali, on Jetstar.

It'll have to be another airline.

    • That's bizarre especially because they have one way flights with stopovers but don't make the direct ones available.

Also the direct ones do show up as available in March but when I look beyond that it shows sold out for months on end.

  • Looks like sites like Expedia or Cheapoair allow booking Jetstar non-stop from Bali to Melbourne. Maybe try one of those sites instead of direct with Jetstar. I just tried a random date in the next week; so don't know about what dates you may be looking for.

    • Yea I found that but you can't replicate the same via Jetstar website so worried there would be issues.

  • -1

I hear the volcanoes are great now.

  • Jetstar quite possibly don't have traffic rights for one-way flights from DPS-MEL. It has to be return or nothing unfortunately.

    • So basically I'd have to book a return trip and not fly the first leg?

      • +1

That won't work. If you miss a leg chances are they'll cancel the whole trip.

      • You could book a DPS-MEL-DPS return and not fly the MEL-DPS leg
