Received a statement from my e toll account yesterday. I only got an etag not because I travel on tollways a lot, but because they make it so damn inconvenient to pay any other way on the rare occasion I do use them. Well they charged me for a trip down the M2 that I didn’t take, and to boot they charged a video fee as well. Yep it wasn’t my tag that rang up the bill, somebody decided it was my number plate on the video, so they billed me through my account. I suppose mistakes get made. But get this, when I rang them they told me it would take six to eight weeks for them to reimburse me. These are the people who charge up to $180 if you are late paying them.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Happened to us too in QLD. Got a message we were in the negative on the toll account - thought the car was pinched (we were in logan).
Turned out two people used the same rego (they put in ours)..
I got an incorrect bill once. They claimed I was on eastlink in Melbourne but id never been on it and lived on the other side of the city.
Said that Grand Theft Auto 5 came out 8 hours prior to the apparent toll usage (8am) - so I would have been asleep at that point in time.
No wokkaz getting it voided. But this didn't involve a refund, it was just the cancellation of an invoice.
Ask for interest on it ato rate.
