Whats the best plan for Galaxy Note 8 at the moment?

Hi Guys

I am interested in getting a Note 8 in a 24 month contract.
Saw the 70$ plan + with $35 handset repayments with Virgin which also includes S3 watch.

https://www.virginmobile.com.au/Shop/Samsung-Galaxy-Note8-Bl…

They offer 9 gigs of data and 300 international call credit.
Includes $100 welcome credit as well.

Is there a better deal than this? considering im tempted to get the watch as well.

or should I wait until Galaxy S9 which will come out in late Feb (actual availability in Australia not known )

Appreciate your expert opinions.

My partner got hers for 930 or something from JB when they had their deal before Xmas

I think if you're having cashflow difficulties….a 105 dollar a month locked in plan isn't a great idea. Not trying to tell you what to do or anything.

        • I agree with you. If you don't have enough money to buy a $1000 phone outright, then don't buy it unless you need it for work or something important. Don't get it for some status symbol. A $200 xiaomi will do 80% of a note 8 and your credit rating will be horrible if you can't pay off the plan

  • Wait for another $59per month deal, sell the phone and buy outright.

wait until s9 comes out and buy the s8 outright.

  • Alright, I have nothing on the Note 8 - but if you will indulge me for a moment: consider getting a refurbished Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910G) for $200-400 instead.

I'm still rocking my old Telstra one from 2014, and my work colleagues, friends, clients, and guests literally cannot tell the difference; they are convinced it's the 8.

Plus the removable battery and microSD card slot really make things faster on the fly, add a battery charger accessory + new spare battery and the phone is as good as brand new every time. Every Note model that has been released since has either done away with the removable battery or SD card and it's just been a downgrade in favour of a thinner frame and smaller bezel.

To each his own, I think I found my ideal device until something actually new comes along.

I bought iphone 8 plus on optus $64 plan and sold and bought note 8 outright.

    • Too late. As I was overseas during the time these sales happened. Cant expect a similar sale happening soon.
