I don't use a jug, but a tap attachment that filters the water coming out of the tap. It's like the Brita on-tap system, very basic. It uses a carbon filter and is mainly used for taste/odour. The unit I got was from bigW for about $50 win replacement cartridges $10. This is way cheaper then Brita, and in my opinion works just the same. Construction also seems more sturdy.
