Star Wars Battlefront II priced at $46, would be a good deal if the game wasn't "grind for your favourite heros"

Waiting for this to drop to $10 then I will consider buying it (screw you EA).

    • +3

Waiting for it to show up in EA Access.. 😊

      • waiting for it to show up on torrent sites…

        • -6

Waiting for it to show up at ur mums.

        • @Diji1:

Even EA is not a big enough **** for that.

        • @Diji1: yo mumma

    • Waiting for the fitgirl repack ;-)

    $44 @ CDKeys.

But don't buy it either way.
These card systems in games (Need For Speed also) are just awful.

    • I wouldn't buy it either.

Although the card system isn't the worst in NFS - It's much like progression systems in arcade racing games (Initial D, Wangan Midnight MT etc.). I never thought once to spend any money on NFS and just used the cards given to me as they were always some decent upgrade to my car.

Worst game ever. It's worth about $4.594

    • What a rip off.

  • +7

wouldnt buy even with your money

  • What's the cheapest this game has been for Xbox / PS4 (on disk, not digital code)?

    • Paid $39 for disc version at Jbhifi couple weeks ago

      • Damn, it's back to $79 now. I have a $20 JB gift voucher - I'd be happy to pay $19 of my own money just to play the campaign. Looks like I have to wait for another sale!

    • Was $49 at EB and recently $39 at JB I think.

    • $32 through Amazon AU during Boxing Day sales. Ps4/Xb1

So cheap and yet there were still very few takers on that deal. Spend the money on a game with a company that values their customers.

        • -1

so Nintendo? Not many games that dont have Dlc or loot boxes now. Even fallout 4 has done something like that

        • @Apple96:

Look around there are many that do it. The Witcher devs, I’m playing a game called “ escape from Tarkov” lately ( granted they plan to add a season pass but that is going to be about 6-12 months after the initial full release). Hell even games like pubg ( I know they have skins but really they are just cosmetic so you are at no real disadvantage if you don’t buy them), I know the loot crate / pay to win thing is big lately but really there are many that don’t do it that way. There are some good indie games coming out too, just depends on your poison of choice.

And I’m not against dlc so long it’s meaningful content that makes it worth the extra money. New mops new content new play modes etc not just a copy paste cash grab like the EA, ubi, activision is so well known for( cough modern ware fare 1,2,3 cough).

        • @Kiato: only Ubi game I play is rocksmith remastered, and I'll gladly buy that DLC. but like EA or activison hell no

the more people that buy this, the more that game companies will think its okay to double-dip. fk off ea

    • I bet Shadow or War is glad that EA brought out Battlefront 2 with maximum crap-hattery in their loot boxes, making Shadow of War only the second most ludicrous in-app-transaction thievery in 2017.

  • +2

Not another SWBF2 deal..Do you guys work for EA or something ?

    • Pretty sure it’s an attempt to dump excess stock.

    • +1

Cant be as bad as all the xiamoi spam

      • +2

Is that some kind of French Xiaomi brand? I want!

  • picked up pne for $20 on gumtree snd havta admit im quite enjoying it. lots of ppl online. bit of a zerg game. i bet most ppl negging iy havnt even played it. not worth $79 but at 20-30 grab it

    • +3

Ea owns the most negged comment in history for a reason. The reason people are negging is for the ea screwing the customers, the pay to win game model and the general attitude of the company. I’m sure graphically the game is fine and game play is ok , but no one is willing to support them because of the way they Treat the customer base.

The way this game is being treated is justified. It’s not just a simple fan boy war like you find in the battlefield or call of duty deals.

    • +1

Even I was gonna buy this game until I realized how much Pride and Accomplishment it was gonna get me to unlock Darth Vader.

  • Another $25 less and I’ll grab it for the campaign

  • I wouldn't buy this game if it was $5.
