Bridging WRT 1200AC to TG789 on AussieBB

Hi,

So I purchased at Linksys WRT1200AC through the ozbargain deal to use with my Aussie broadband FTTN connection. I understand the WRT1200 cannot act as a modem hence the TG789

I can't figure out how to successfully connect this setup, I tried calling AussieBB and the tech support couldn't help me as it's not supported, and I've tried looking everywhere online.

If someone can please help me out in how to make this connection would be really grateful.

So far I've put the tg789 in bridge mode however it still has wifi and the @ symbol flashes red, I've plug a cat5e cable into the lan1 port on the tg789 to the internet port on the Linksys to no avail as well as setting the Linksys as a bridge which stops it from being able to connect wirelessly altogether.

I'm not sure if the Linksys is faulty or I'm just doing it all wrong.
