Can You Get American Express Offers with a Debit Card?

I do not have an income high enough for a credit card but would love to get the Harvey Norman, Microsoft, etc, offers.

No. Amex branded debit cards don't exist. They are only offers for those who have an Amex card.

AmEx only issue Charge Cards and Credit Cards.

Debit Cards are cards used to access funds that are held in a bank account. That is, an account with your funds in it, at an ADI (Authorised Deposit-Taking Institution). AmEx is not an ADI, they are simply a financial services company with a credit licence (so can issue lines of credit to individuals and companies in the form of credit and charge cards).
    I hope this explains it.

As others have mentioned above, unfortunately you can't access AMEX offers with a debit card.

You may already be aware of this, but if not, be aware that the income requirement on direct-issued AMEX cards is generally based on the household - so if you have a spouse or other family member you live with that can contribute towards the income criteria, you may find you are eligible if you 'pool' your income together?

The entry level, $0 fee AMEX cards (Essential, Qantas Discovery and Velocity Escape) require a $40,000 personal or household income, which is obviously more achievable than the $65,000 income requirement for the platinum level cards.

  • Qantas does a similar thing where you get Qantas points instead. The deals aren't as good as amex, however you can use just about any kind of MasterCard (debit or credit).

    • Could you link me?

Try logging in here with your QFF account https://www.mycardoffers.qantasmall.com/

The offers are not that great unless you highly value Qantas points. You'd probably do better buying discounted gift cards.

signed up for this when they first arrived and it's still sticked on the letter and stored in some storage box. Their offer is crap, particularly the multi currency one with abhorrent exchange rate, and no where they offer deals similar to Amex (like spend $20 get $10 back). The best they can give is like 5000 QFF points for loading few grands worth of foreign currency, and you end up losing out after exchange rate is accounted for.
