Hi Jessieka, did you have any luck on this? I've been looking for a compact camera recently (and one for which dive housings are available), and I keep coming back to the G7x Mark II. Also looked at the Sony RX100 MkIII (better specs in some areas, but a bit pricier and I frankly prefer the look and features of the Canon), and Olympus TG-5 (tiny sensor and IQ nowhere near the Canon or Sony).
The G7X seems to hold value reasonably well, with secondhand examples (even Mk I) usually hitting $400 easily on eBay - MkII's getting higher prices. Best prices I've found was the Amazon offer last year (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/391477), and for the Mk I there was a cash back in 2015 that bought it under $500 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/221982).
Hmmm…seems like bargains are thin on the ground. I would definitely like to pay under $600 new for this camera though, and closer to $500 would make me snap it up straight away. Amazon would seem to be one of the best current Aus stock prices atm, at $636 for the MkII (https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0778NQ37B?pf_rd_p=d053…). JB Hi-Fi has a special at the moment too, but it's barely under $700 with them.
Edit: I should add that there is some rumour about a Mk III coming to market in the first quarter of this year. If so, that could bring the price down on the Mk II. Like all rumours though…take it with a grain of salt.
Edit again: And sorry about the necro-post. I just realised that it is now 2019.
