Hi Guys, I have about 8k cash left from an overseas trip, wondering where is the best place to exchange it back to AUD in Adelaide? Need your Ozbargainers advice.

Based on the photo in the ad when they opened (http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/business/worldex-foreign-excha…), Worldex has an alright spread when compared with Australian banks. For small amounts (yours isn't small…ouch :)) where people can't be bothered they often go to UAE Exchange but I imagine in Adelaide you'd be going into the CBD regardless.
For some reason Whirlpool is often more clued up on saving money than OzBargain. Here's a dated article that listed some recommended places to change money around Australia (albeit in the opposite direction but it's normally a good indicator): http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/japantravelcurrency

I don't know about Adelaide but in Melbourne I've found that Crown casino has the best exchange rate by a long margin. They even gave me a free $5 casino chip which I cashed out at the counter. Maybe you can try it at a big casino in Adelaide.

Worldex seems the best, very close conversation rates, nil fees and customer service is very good too. USD they always have, but make sure you ring to pre order if large quantities or ordering less common currencies
How the hell do you have $8K in cash? Why would you take that much out ?
