ORIGINAL POST

Clearance sale, strictly while stocks last and in store only (shipping kills the deal!)

12 month warranty with proof of purchase.

Display units in store to checkout before buying.

HTPC cases include 230w SFX power supplies, regular mid tower cases do not.

Any questions welcome. Here's a few answers to questions we've gotten about them in the past;

How many do you have of X particular model in stock?
We have about 100 units mixed across the range, if you are a specific one please give us a call to confirm or drop in and ask.

Why so cheap? Are they that bad?
Although we don't use them in our systems, we've helped this particular distributor clear out a lot of these cases in the past and much to our surprise have had an extremely low fault rate. They are by no means of the same build quality as a case 10x their price but they are a unique, cost effective and reliable solution for a budget small form factor system!

Does it come with a power cable?
Yes!

Does it have USB3?
No, it's a bummer but they are so small the motherboard USB ports which will almost certainly have USB3 are pretty easily accessible.

Can I just buy the power supply?
Sorry, we got them bundled 1-1 with the cases and since they are a SFX unit, no one else is going to buy the case if we don't have a power supply to go with it as the price of any other brand would again, kill the deal! You're welcome to throw the case in the bin and just use the PSU, but not our bin!

Is there a limit per customer?
Nope, just get them out of here!

If I take X amount can you do it cheaper?
I doubt it since they are already so heavily discounted, but if you want to take a van load we'll see what we can do.

I know you said no shipping, but can you ship it?
Sorry, the overheads on our subsidized shipping, packing and processing time just isn't viable. We're simply clearing these cost-in cost-out as a favor to the distributor who's already very heavily written them down. Not a single penny in mark up on these ones!

[INSERT QUIP ABOUT NEVER BUYING GENERIC DODGY POWER SUPPLIES HERE]
We totally agree, but aside for the fact that they are a relatively unknown brand in Australia and are VERY inexpensive, our data suggests they pretty dam reliable. We track warranty data across all brands and while we've only sold a couple of hundred units, we only have 1 RMA and 1 DOA on record. (that's a lower % than Silverstone, Corsair and CM!)

But how much is shipping to [INSERT TOWN / CITY HERE]?
Nice try, but we are not shipping them. It's going to cost much more than you would want to pay and almost certainly more than the product itself.

Can I fit a X Y OR Z?
These HTPC cases can only fit low profile expansion cards, SFX power supplies (230w included), mATX or mITX motherboards, a 5.25" standard optical drive and a 3.5" (or 2.5" with a bay) storage drive. Stock Intel coolers fit fine but anything taller is probably a no-go.

If I bought all the components for a system to build in this case can you do me deal?
Sorry, we specialize in gaming and enthusiast systems, we don't really stock the products in the price range that this case would be best suited with.

What payment methods do you take in store?
Cash, CC or EFTPOS. CC has a 1% surcharge.

What are your opening hours?
10am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Do you like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain?
No shipping!

  • [VIC] Victoria only unfortunately - otherwise I'd be on it

    • +7

Are you bitter about it? Victorian Bitter about it?

  • Darn. Really wanted one to replace my aging Antec Three Hundred.

    • O.O why? And more importantly why with one of these?

      • The gaming tower for $20 should be an improvement over an old case that uses Molex connectors for powering fans (yes, Molex!), there's also zero space for the cable management and there's also aggravatingly, no tool-less drive mounts.

        • +2

Bad news, i think this one uses molex too! But anyone reading this who is considering this case, just ask us for a 120mm non molex fan over the counter and i'm sure we can throw one in for a couple of bucks.

  • Lol @ our components are to good to put in this case, I've owned 4 PC cases in my life (live near the ocean and eventually they all start rusting) only my new one I'm building in atm is a $70 case, the rest were these $25 jobs. I off would never use the PSU for a gaming build though lol, it's likely melt my PC.

    Couriers Please Standard: $46.00
    Couriers Please Platinum: $56.00
    Couriers Please Satchel: $11.10

I'll buy one if you send it by satchel just for the LOLs op :) (I know I know, just funny)

    • Unfortunately the way our shipping system currently works is based on weight of items. Having the weight under 5kg means it "can go in a satchel". The satchel may just be big enough too, but this is an in store only offer; apologies.

      • Haha fair enough. I didn't actually think it would fit one, just thought it was funny.

    • Woops, a bit of a glitch! They most definitely do not fit in a satchel. Should be fixed now, i think someone on our end was trying to lower the shipping costs by under-quoting the size for anyone who might try ordering online at the advertised price.

      • How do these compare to the ~$99 popular SilverStone rvz02?

        Cheers in advance!

        • Very very different products. Not really comparable, but if it's in your price range we would definitely recommend the rvz02 over these.

      • +2

Haha ozb testing at your service lol

  • Very good price..

  • +3

Love the description. You know your audience well!

  • Hi I'll pop in tomorrow morning. Still have stock left? thanks

    • Plenty! We will update our website or this post if we run out of anything in the meantime.

  • trying to order one for pickup OP, but is there any way to pay in store rather than online? Online attracts a .9% fee :(

    • Hi Steff, it's best just to drop in and order over the counter. To get the $10 price instead of the advertised price we would have to cancel your online order and re-do it in store anyway. There should be an EFT payment option that doesn't attract any surcharge if you really wanted to order online, although we can't really reserve stock on clearance items for very long, just to fair to other customers.

      • ok cool. If I PM the order and my details through, can you hold it? I'll probably be looking at Friday to come in

        • There is a good chance it'll still be available but unfortunately we can't hold quiet them that long. We could home them for the day if you wanted to give us a call or shoot us an email Friday morning.

        • @evatech: PMd you

  • d'oh would've liked a couple of on there to make an HTPC for the folks but wrong side of town.
Petrol prices kill the deal :P

  • +1

Do you like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain?
    No shipping!

    LOL!

On a more serious note, these guys were my local before I shifted house, and offered the best service, best systems and and at the best price. Highly recommended.

  • Really tempted to buy a case but really have no use for it (in true Ozb style!)

    • We've added a bunch of extra clearance 'crap' you probably don't need too! So we'll see you soon?

      • Again most of the new stuff is not a necessity. Must resist the temptation

  • https://evatech.com.au/soeyi/2881-soeyi-black-m201l-htpc-cas… do you sell many of these? Just interested to know if these kind of things are popular or not, seems super ugly to me.

    • +1

Not as many as the plain colours but more than you might expect!

  • That is one heck of a write up OP.

    Awesome work.

  • I am in the process of building up a 8700k + 1080ti //32GB //512 nvme// system. I am dealing with Scorptec but looking at your write up here, I want to check you guys out. What's the best way?

    CHeers Jayden

  • Hey OP, any of these cases will fit a fan/cooler height approx 158mm and GPU length approx 330mm? Far as I can tell from the site seems these are all slim versions but I thought I'd check.

    • +1

Sorry, but the only case that comes close would be the 612A which is so close we still wouldn't recommend it.

      • Thx OP. The search for a knockoff S340/Define C continues.

  • The Soeyi case has been good for a htpc that I have used the last few years purchased from Evatech

  • OP, just to check, these cases are marked as uATX compatible but can't take a standard uATX motherboard (244mm x 244mm)?

What is the 222mm width restriction due to, (eg. drive bay cage)?

Looking for a small case like these but for a standard uATX motherboard.

Any chance of a image showing an open case with a standard uATX in it for scale?

    • +1

Sorry but the width restriction on the HTPC cases is due to the power supply and hard drive mounting panel, the non HTPC cases (B118 & G612) will fit larger boards and are also $10 in store, however don't come with a PSU.

      • Thanks OP, unfortunately those cases are just as big as my mid-tower ATX rig.

  • For those who are reading comments - all items still listed on the website have at least 1 unit left in stock (some obviously have more than 1 unit). We sold out of 2 variants of the HTPC case and they have since been removed from the website so nobody is sad when they come in store.

Cheers to all who have popped in today, and the one eager beaver who bought about 10 cases in total. Happy computing to all!

  • Thanks OP. The right angled PSU cables are a nice touch
