Minimal Flask with Maximum Insulation $5 off 350ml($25) | 500ml($33) @ Sigariya + Free Shipping Australia Wide

Hey everyone,

Late last year I was in the market for an insulated water bottle for myself as I found myself drinking lots of green tea for weight loss and better concentration. I keep my workspace and general surroundings pretty minimal so I was looking for something to suit my taste. I got pretty fed up with all the gaudy looking out door stuff from Thermos and didn't bother with the silver tin can styles you find in most $2 stores. Anyways I was pretty surprised to find some really well designed ones which functioned perfectly well selling in China. The Aussie market place seems to lack the type of insulated bottles that mix form and function superbly. I ordered one for myself through AliExpress waited around for a while and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and look of the flask. I got in touch with the manufacturer and started selling them straight from Oz to anyone who cares about how their daily products look and feel. I hope this is of interest to you guys, have a good one.

TL;DR Found well designed minimal flasks selling in China. I'am now a flask merchant, here's a discount.

    So $25 for 350ml and $33 for 500ml

    • Yes that is correct.

  • +1

    Is it the normal price?

    • The price in the title is after $5 discount.

  • +3

While it looks nice, I doubt anyone in OzBargain would spend $33 on a drink bottle..

    • Hahaha, well I hope you're wrong.

      • FYI, you have a wish list button but no way to access your wish list?

        • Thanks for the input. The wish list link appears only to logged in users.

  • how do you compare this with Zojirushi?

    • +1

Zojirushi make some really good flasks, however the construction of the Relea Flask and that of Zojirushi flasks are very similar. Both are made of stainless steel and utilise food grade polypropylene, making them long lasting and very good at maintaining internal temps. Obviously Zojirushi is a big corporation so keep in mind you're definitely paying for brand premiums.

quick question about the sealing cap does it have to twist to pouring the water out or there is a switch u press to pouring the water out?

        • You don't have to twist, there is a switch you press and you can start pouring your drink.

<s> Why would I want a minimally insulated flask? Makes no sense. </s>

    • You're right. Not everyone cares about how their products look, they prefer function over form. But I want to live in a world where we can have both :)

      • +5

I want it to be maximally insulated.

        • Yep agreed. These are stainless steel so they do an awesome job of that. One time I left my tea brewing for a good 7-8 hours, came back to have a sip thinking "It won't be that hot" and that's when I learnt to never drink hot beverages straight from the flask, always pour it into a cup.

      • +3

You are referring to the style of the bottle
He is referring to the awkward naming "minimal insulated bottle", as in, it's only slightly insulated.
        He has a point.

        • +3

Oh that's my bad. Thanks a lot guys.

        • I tried to used the sarcastica font (<s> </s>) but it doesn’t appear to be an actual http format.

        • @Jake Elwood: seems it came out as Good Times Roman

Appreciate your honesty. Good to see.

I will pass though as $33 is a bit expensive.

    • Thank you, greatly appreciated.

Looking at buying one of your flasks. Can you tell me how many cups of tea you can pour using the cup lid for each flask size please? Do you brew in the flask? And which size flask do you use? Thanks

    • For the 350ml flask you can have three full cups and with the 500ml you'll get 5 cups. I usually drop a tea bag in the flask and have also put green tea leafs in the flask and let it brew, this is fine as the sealing ring filters the leafs and you won't end up drinking them. I myself have been using the 350ml at home but have been told the 500ml is convenient for travel as you don't have to refill as often.

I'm sorry, but this is not the cheapest price online.

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Relea-Brand-Couples-Keep-war… (19.10 USD shipped / 24.41 aud)
    https://www.qoo10.sg/item/RELEA-RELEA-FREE-THERMOS-BOTTLE-35… (about 20SGD = 20AUD)
    https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/RELEA-food-grade-ther… (min order 10, usd 4.80-7.60)

The first link is where I bought my first flask from and yes its cheaper but I had to wait for a while. Since thats only showing the 350ml variant, your pretty much paying us 60 cents extra for the faster shipping and the hassle free returns if needed. Second site doesn't ship to Australia. Alibaba is definitely a better option if you wanting 10 or more. No need to be sorry, you're doing what Ozbargainers ought to be doing.

The Aliexpress price is half of that, with free shipping. Mod: Fixed link

    $14.97 for 350ml, $16.27 for 500ml. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2015-Hot-Jazz-mug-colorful-m…

Thank you very much for this post~~I got the same feeling about the market bottle. Will certainly get one as it looks really nice!

    • I knew I wasn't alone! Thank you, hope you love it.

People buy used socks on eBay. You are bound to find someone who likes something you like, just like when I see a painting that sells for thousands of dollars, yet there is no art in it, but hey, people still pay for it. Should watch that movie "The Intouchables".

While you did write a spiel about it, I don't see anything special about it. My VOSS is doing just fine as it is.

As it stands, it is very hard to get into people's pockets now as everyone tries to sell and only a few manage to get a big enough pie to make it worthwhile. You might learn from that because as much as you like to call it minimalist, the fact is it's nothing special as you can buy those things in truckloads. You need to set it apart and with right price, especially on Ozbargain if you want to promote your stuff.

  • Have you got the flasks checked in Australia to see if any dodgy chemicals were used in production?
I never get "food" storage/preparation stuff directly imported from China as you never know if they used dodgy chemicals in production. I heard of stories from my relos in China about it happening. Funniest story was: If you hate somebody at work, go buy them the cheapest scarf from the local flea market. LOL!

Its like buying a rechargeable battery from china which says 5000mah for a AA, when they say "using food grade stainless steel" you should also take it with a grain of salt because anything goes over there.

Not saying that your products have been tainted, but would be a pretty big law suit for you if it turns out to be later down the track. And you won't have much luck trying to push the law suit off to a Chinese company in China. lol.

The manufacturer has their vacuum flask test reports conducted by SGS published online and have been verified by Alibaba, they are one of the larger companies so you end paying more per item but they are unlikely to take short cuts during production. They are some smaller companies that mimic this particular product which were selling for much cheaper but aren't publishing verified test reports, so that is most certainly a red flag. Thanks a lot for the heads up, appreciated.

Cool! Glad that is all covered.

  • +2

The $5 at the start made me think it was $5, a little misleading, no reason for it to lead the title.

    • Thanks noted.

  • +2

    That handle though…

    • +1

There is nothing minimal about it.

I think flask should be named after cricketing icon Bill Lawry.

      • Poor Bill!

Wouldn’t normally upvote a deal like this, but awesome to see the honesty and really slim margins posted for the community. OP isn’t just some oblivious entrepreneur who thinks they can charge huge prices to an intelligent community, (or Australia in general) for a subpar product, and get away with it. They’ve done their research, can answer any questions posed to them regarding safety, and competitor’s products, and appreciates all forms of feedback, positive and negative.
I won’t be purchasing a bottle - I prefer insulated camelbaks and only ever want to keep cold things cold, not hot things hot. But I wish you all the best in your endeavours!
