Been meaning to buy one of these for a while for my pixel 2 xl. Looks like Google have taken a bit off the price.

What's the benefit or appeal of these cases? Just pick your own image?
Yep. Used to he they had an extra physical button you could map, but they stopped that with the pixel 2/2XL unfortunately. :(
Fabric cases are discounted as well!
I really like my grey one with the blue button
I ordered the midnight with the orange button, was a tossup between the 2.

From everyone’s experience, what are the actual delivery timeframes from the Google Store? I’ve always been a little apprehensive about ordering from there, as the quoted shipping times have seemed outrageous.
The shipping times are outrageous. Do not go by them. I trusted it to get a phone for my wife s birthday. Came three days later even after I had 1 extra day as buffer. It took 5 days in total IIRC.

If you want this case or the fabric to protect your device from minor-drop damage - look elsewhere the large gap of coverage at the bottom leaves strong invulnerabilities to your phone. When I contacted Google support they offered this explanation for the design flaw.
"We are sorry for the trouble but as discussed the cases are designed to give a grip on the device. However, if we drop the device, there are chances that the device might suffer physical damage."
Price matched at JB today.
