Sony KD55X9000E TV with Samsung HW-M360 soundbar weird startup

Hey guys,

I'm pairing a Sony KD55X9000E TV with Samsung HW-M360 soundbar using the optical input and sometimes when I turn the TV on the soundbar turns on as well. What would be causing this and how can I make it permanently turn on with the TV? Any advice on how they're pairing would be appreciated.

    Strange that turning on the TV will turn on the soundbar, but turning off the TV won't then turn off the soundbar.

    My Sony TV and surround sound setup, connected by HDMI, automatically turns the surround sound system on and off with the TV.
