Lightweight Laptops similar to Xiaomi Notebook Air

Hey everyone,

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions, would like a laptop with similar specs to the xiaomi notebook air i5 version (https://www.lightinthebox.com/xiaomi-laptop-13-3-inch-intel-…), ie
i3-i5 processor
~4-8gb ram
~128-256 gb SSD HD
graphics card optional

but would really like one that's a little lighter than the 1.2kg.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd really like to hear them.

      the cheaper the better clearly, I think around the 1000 mark is about right, but willing to consider more for the right product.

    Asus Zenbook series. But it will cost more than the xiaomi. There is a long list to choose, from previous gen to current gen. All are about 1.0 to 1.3 kg.

    HP EliteBook 1030 x360 is a great device. Business class, 3yr onsite warranty. Weight is in that ballpark.

    Sorry to hijack your post op.

    Does anyone have any recommendations for a budget ultrabook, I'm fine with second hand.

    similar requirements to the op except budget is about half,
    My main use would be for study's.

    My requirements:

    • Around $500 could stretch to $700, though cheaper the better lol.
    • 14 inch
    • Around 1kg

    Gimli's suggestion of the Lenovo carbon meets all of my requirements.

      this is a good model for the price IMO. but screen is a bit small.

        Thanks Gimli son of gloin :), that i3 one looks good it has enough grunt for my needs, but yeah the screen, I'll still be considering it.

          are you going to be using it at desktop most of the time if so connect it to a cheap monitor

    I thought I should update with what I finally bought.
    I ended up going for second hand, something I always think I should do more often but often forget. Be better on the environment and your pocket.
