DeLonghi Convector Heater $49 @ Harvey Norman (C+C)

Heaters tend to be cleared when it is summer and vice versa (with fans), thought I'll post this despite the warm spells we have been receiving.

How good are the Delonghi heaters?

    • There is a tab on the left with the heading "Reviews" - hope it's helpful.

I have one of this. It’s the same as other cheaper brand sold at woolies, Coles or Bunnings. 2000 watt. Heats the room slowly because it has no fan that can blow the heat straight to you; the heat goes upward, filling the ceiling area first.
Find heater with fan and timer if you can with the same price.

DeLonghi products generally are top quality.

My parents had a DeLonghi convection heater for 20+yrs and I don't think it ever failed not even til the end when they replaced it just because.

We (family of 5) have had a DeLonghi kettle for 14yrs and it hasn't missed a beat. It has had very heavy use during 3 babies needing boiled/sterilised water for formula etc. several times/day. To be honest, it still looks brand new and stylish today and could fit in with the current DeLonghi range!

I was sure it would die due to overuse but it keeps going. Looking back it is products that give you years of service that are a real bargain, regardless of the original price. You have to work out the cost of constantly failing cheap products, time lost in purchasing replacements and loss of function etc. Not to mention the headache!

The only problem is quality doesn't show until 10 years down the track which is what retailers take advantage of.

some guy from productreview bought from TGG for $45 last winter

      • Thx for confirming my thoughts. Not really a bargain @ $49

    What's the original price?

  • WINTER IS COMING

Jon Snow is going to be all over this deal

  • Would love an energy efficient heater for winter (heat the baby room). Any bargains on oil heaters?

    • Oil heater is no more or less efficient than these AFAIK. They just have thermal mass that is slow to heat up and cool down.

If you want efficiency, you need heat pump/refrigeration cycle style heater.
