That’s expensive, should just one from GearBest.

Well if you want the “fast” 7.5W wireless charging for iPhone 8/X, then it’s either this or the equally expensive Mophie charger.

    • Yeah, Nah. I will keep using the lightning cable

What is the obvious benefit of this one than other $15 wireless charger?

    • +2

From what I have read only the Belkin and Mophie chargers are currently certified by Apple.

Apple is restricting other chargers from charging at 7.5W. Other chargers will be limited to 5W. The actual difference in charge times between the 7.5W and 5W looks to be about 7% over 60 mins but YMMV.

But wireless chargers are not MFI?!

      • +1

Curious, how exactly do Apple restrict others from 7.5W charging?

      • +2

I don’t think Apple are actively stopping chargers from doing 7.5W, they just picked an obscure part of the Qi standard that no one else implemented.

Unlike cables, where Apple are proactively being arseholes..

  • This or Samsung convertible fast charger $47 @shopmonk

you only get 5w with non-apple certified wireless charger so really depending on personal interests and financial status.

for 5W charger midas well get a 10 buck one

    • No, have one and it charges my iPhone X at normal speeds.

  • Looks like Belkin is expanding its Qi offerings greatly:
