Does anyone have experience in using Citibank Plus Mastercard (Not Visa Card) at ATM's in Phnom Penh?
Some information suggests that the Mastercard is not fee free at Maybank as the Visa Card was.

Yes, I read that that is no longer the case.
Any fees charged are by the local bank/atm; not Citibank. I would suggest using a major banks ATM like MayBank.
It might be a case of trial and error when you arrive.
Yes Maybank would be my test case as it is still possible that it will be fee free. I just don't want to carry too much cash.
If carrying less cash means you end up paying a small fee then so be it, probably still getting a better exchange rate than local currency changers.
Maybank visa are free they don't accept master card in their machines.
Depending on how much you take out ABA bank are only charging $4 for $200 withdrawal but it goes up the more you withdraw.
Alcelda is $4 but $250 max withdrawal.
I'm using ING card and haven't been getting any fees from any of themThanks for that information.
ING may the way to go. How is ING for the exchange rate? Do you have to have deposited $1000 pcm and made 5 transactions per month to get it ATM 'fee free'?
Do you have any idea how much a tourist who just has massages, food & drinks at moderately priced pubs & bars, and spends little on touring should carry on them $USD per day?
EG In Thailand I usually carry & have a lot left over from 4,000 THB. (A160), unless my plans include dinner-date at expensive place.
Just the $1000 needed for free transactions until later this year you need the 5 withdrawals as well.
Android XE app says I'm down about 90 cents on a $200 USD withdrawal.
Depends on what your after 104 to 136 street is all the girly bars where they'll hassle you for drinks further south 172 is more backpacker area with a mix bp bars and girly and then towards Naga casino is more upmarket area to stay with good quality and value buffet restaurants on Koh Pich.
Thai and Cambo are similar in price on most things but for booze and smokes are a lot cheaper in Cambo.
Most people I've meet that have come from Thailand don't like Cambodia my mate could only stay there for 2 days and had to leave. Thanks a lot for info. I am staying 172 one trip and 144 the next. Both close to the river. As a frequent visitor to Thailand, I spend my time in the expat pubs in Bangkok. Is there anything like that in Phnom Penh?
Why don't they like Cambodia?
I always stay at the Anise hotel.
Expat bars are in easy walking distance.
Nice looking place, well priced and very highly rated on Tripadvisor. I believe that Bassac Lane off street 308 has some great little places to eat/drink, and is not far from Anise. I will check Anise out for the future. Thanks.
