Xbox Live (Xbox One Connects but Xbox 360 Doesn't)

Hi All,

I have a weird situation. Moved into the new house a while ago and I have both an Xbox One and Xbox 360. At the old place, using the old modem, both Xbox's would connect to the internet and Xbox Live would work, however, at the new house, I am having a few issues with the 360.

Xbone - Connects to the modem + Xbox Live - all functions work
Xbox 360 - Connects to the modem + Internet (No Xbox Live Functionality).

I have run the diagnostic on the 360 multiple times, I have done some research on the Xbox website and also online and tried to assign a manual IP and also opening the NAT (with 4 ports) but nothing seems to allow the 360 to connect to Xbox live (All other devices connect to the internet fine.

• Port 88 (UDP)
• Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
• Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
• Port 80 (TCP)

Has anyone else had such an issue on the 360, if so, how do i solve it ? (I have tried resetting the Xbox 360 Network settings multiple times).

    Are you using a new modem at the new house? Sounds really strange if everything is green on the X1 but not on the 360.

    Are you connecting via Ethernet or Wifi on the 360 and One?

      Yeah new modem from Belong. It's so frustrating. Works fine on Xbone and can play online etc. (wireless on both)

        It's possible it's just the modem causing the issues, I know it's strange but I've had similar issues in the past regarding different types of Wifi devices, some just don't seem to work on newer routers.

        My advice would be to make connect the old modem as just a Wifi bridge to the new modem, then try to connect the 360 to the old Wifi.

        Or maybe try to get a lan cable to the 360? Might be a last result sort of situation.

    so you cant log in to your account on the 360?

      Locally yes but won't connect to online services (although it says internet is connected and fine).

    have you tried checking your devices on your account on pc?

    can you see the 360?

    try logging in and out of the 360 after logging in on pc.

    Is your 360 upto date and have the latest firmware? Sometimes they make you agree to updated terms and conditions before connecting to Live.

    I had a similar issue with my xbox 360 unable to connect to xbox live even though my network settings never changed.

    Turns out I had enabled 2 factor authentication on my MS account, but the 360 doesn't work with that service. ended up creating a special app password just for the 360, now connects to live servers just fine.

    Maybe it was just a coincidence that this started happening just as you moved.
