Xiaomi Mi 3-Outlet Power 3-Outlet USB Strip (WHITE) US $9.99 (AU $13.30) Delivered @ GearBest

670
AU24NIST

8/1 Updated - asked our friends at Gearbest for another code… another 99 available (sorry I purchased one for myself!)

Long time listener first time caller…. So if I've stuffed something up let me know.

I asked our friends at Gearbest for a code for the ever popular Power Strips. This deal is for White only, and limited to the first 69 items.

Personally, I've found these to be excellent. I actually carry one around in my laptop bag - very neat and comes in handy.

p.s
In B4: "Australian standards and insurance companies will reject claims if there is house fire from using this unit."

Edit (25/1): Code AUsomeguyMW replaced by AU24NIST (credit to Niroshansira)

    FYI These are good.

    • says on there the cable length is 1.8 metres… is that true?

      • Yes

        • I think this is a game changer then! I love that there’s an extension cord built-in!

    • The only thing stopping me from buying these when they pop up is that they're not certified for use in Australia. I know Xiaomi make good quality products, but I don't know how it would play out with insurance and whatnot, if by some stroke of bad luck, things went bad.

    Thanks Paul.

I would buy (another) one but there is supposed to be a smart version coming out soon. You won;t be able to control every plug individually but will be able to track electricity usage.

    • Interesting. Hope it's true, or any improved version in general. I have a few of these already so as handy as they are prob not going to get anymore of the same model.

  • are these the wifi one?

  • Great for traveling, although as much as possible, I'm attempting to only buy devices which charge via USB.

    • How long is your extension lead? Perhaps you holiday in the garden?

  • Ordered for international use.

These are really good although it took almost 2 months to arrive :)

  • got the black one last time on sale. Runs well with the xiaomi wifi extender as well thats how I run mine :)

  • are the USB ports 3.1A each?

    • Shared.

It's cheaper on eBay US $8.88 https://www.ebay.com/itm/222491668682 great if it can be used with 10% off code

  • Ebay has heaps ranging from 8.88 USD to 21 USD. I wonder what’s the difference?

Some may be fake Xiaomi copies

    • Possibly getting rid of stock for new version

  • If it is bundled with an Australian adapter, that's going to seriously impact on its convenient size.

    • +2

? It's got a Chinese plug on it… which is the same as Australia (just upside down!)

      Paul

  • Quick question for anyone that owns one of these - I'm looking to get a couple next time there is a deal, and would like to know what kinds of power plugs this can accept. It looks like it plugs into a standard AU wall socket without issue (using the upside down Chinese plug), and has the same China/AU sockets on the board itself to plug your devices into. But it also looks like it can accept other types of plugs, such as the US and EU plugs. Is this the case? If so, would these power boards work perfectly with other Xiaomi devices that come with a straight two prong US type plug, without the need for a crappy adapter in between?

    • +1

It takes US/EU plugs and is perfect for other Xiaomi gadgets.

      • Thanks for the confirmation, this will be perfect then! The adapters work OK but they look crap on the end of a clean power brick and seem to add way too much unwanted wobble to the connection. Have found the Mi Notebook power bricks fall out of the included adapters if you look at them the wrong way…

Yes is the answer to your well explained question.
I have been using one of these for about 6 months and totally recommend it for your suggested purpose.
My laptop has a USA 2 prong plug on the power cable and it goes straight into this power board outlet and charges my laptop all the time, never an issue.

      • Cheers for the extra confirmation :) Thought I'd really lay the question out because others have asked similar questions on the Gearbest product page but received ambiguous responses or clearly incorrect answers for the question asked!

Why they don't include this specific information in the product description is beyond me…

  • these are good have purchased before previously from this seller

Thanks! Got one to try out

  • @someguycalledpaul After applying the fixed price coupon, PayPal resolves it as 15.09 USD. Any idea?

  • I have one of these, great little units especially if you want to charge via usb or have any gadgets that need a non-AU plug.

  • thanks .. got 10.

  • Really happy with my one from a previous deal.

I have a bunch of electronics with international chargers and they plug into this no problem.

Plus the USB ports are great for charging my phone and playstation controller. Highly recommended.

  • Has anyone had experience about AU two leg plug(such as molbile charger, table lamp plug) to plug into this board. I know it has protect function, cos I had experience for other boards with same function, I cannot plug in the AU two plug. If it works, I will buy some.

    • meaning devices that dont have earth? Yes they work. My macbook pro charger is "2 prong" australian and it works fine.

  • Was gonna buy but code expired

    • Cheers got it now

  • waiting for the wifi version, the existing wifi one is awesome for resetting raspberry pi's and turning on/off xmas lights

  • New code expired, that was quick!!

    • It was working for me when I ordered one last night, about 10 minutes before your post.
