Hello Everyone,
Could you please share your thoughts on Series 8 55 inch MU8000 Curved Premium UHD LED TV compared to Series 6 55 inch MU6103 UHD LED TV or the same in 7 series.

Well 8 series says 200Hhz and 1000 HDR whereas 6 series is not… is 200Hhz and HDR will make a big difference in what we see?
google says hdr good to have.
What's the price differences between each of the TVs? Have you looked at them side by side to compare whether you can tell a difference? I thought most reviews said curved TVs didn't really work unless you were very close and the screen was very large?
Series 8 is $1395 and Series 6 is $988
Assuming you are set on a 55", then I'd just go MU6103 unless you care about the curve (generally considered to not be that useful), the improved colour/improved HDR and blacks/etc, One remote (their 'smart' remote) and the single box which houses all the cables (this is cool/tidy). Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some features in the series 8 which make it look a bit better than a series 6, but I personally did not see much value in them besides the last feature which would make for a tidier installation.
If it were me, I'd get a bigger TV (65"?) for that money which would improve all content, rather than a more feature-packed model particularly as you'll probably want to use an external box in the future for additional features (vs waiting for Samsung to update any included software - look at the Samsung TV upgrade kit fiasco from a few years back).
(note: I did just order an MU6103 fropm a recent OzB deal!)
if i dont have 55 already i will buy that in a heart beat. seriously, 1395 for curve, uhd? damnnnnnnnnn jealous level to the roof
