$1 Frozen Coke in Maccas Paying with Nab AmEx Seems to Be Free [QLD AFAIK]

For the last 4 days I have gotten individual $1 frozen cokes in various Maccas in QLD and have not seen it hit my NAB Amex bank account. Going to the same place a short time later to purchase something like an Apple Pie and two cones (total $3.50) results in it appearing in my online account within a few minutes.

So far I have purchased six $1 Frozen cokes and none of the $1 transactions have appeared.

I used tap and pay at the counter as opposed to using the self service screens.

I have double checked my McD tax receipts to make sure I used the correct card etc and it all checks out.

Anyone else with a similar experience?

    It could take several days for tap n pay transactions to appear in your NAB account

    (NAB Velocity Amex holder here and it some times takes a few days.)

      Yes I agree but I did the same tap and go payment for 2 x $3.50 transactions to see and they both appeared online within minutes. The single $1 tap and pay done only 10 minutes earlier at the same Macdonald’s and pay station is still to appear 4 days later (bought 30 Dec).

        Yeah, I've had the same when I went to a Maccas, my larger transaction $20 appeared straight away but the smaller $5 one didn't.

        Why go through all that trouble when you can show them this photo as part of this deal to get free Frozen Coke?

    Sometimes McDoand's tap and pay transactions take really long to appear on your card.

    It has taken one week once for mine to show up on my card, making me almost think my card got swiped and used at a Maccas while I was at work. lol.

      You are right. I got two of my six $1 transactions coming through now. The good thing is that I was finally credited with my Amex spend $15 get $5 deals on two of my Amex cards (which was why I was watching the transactions carefully).

        Yeah, sometimes it is particularly longer if you pay via mobile wallet.

        I have the feeling that terminals at Maccas are offline terminals, which will do transactions in batch and in cycles.
