Buying Laptop from USA on a Very Good Deal

Hello Everyone,

I am in need of a laptop and was exploring offers.
I found some great offers on Dell australia website.
One of my friend in USA suggested a better deal on Dell USA website for same laptop.
Inspiron 15 5000 with intel i7 ,8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD for around 570 USD (around 770 AUD) . That is around 200 $ savings when compared to buying here.
I also was checking shopmate from auspost and they have post forwarding facility from US. So I have to shell out another ~100 $ approx.

Now the question I have is Is it worth it?
a) Does Dell have international warranty.
b) I assume there will be differences in power cords for laptop and I can buy an adapter to get it working.

Anything else which I might have overlooked?

    Bought from HN a similar spec (no ssd) for 870 something will be getting 200 back from Amex deal as split payment on two cards with Amex offer.

        There was an Amex offer spend 400 and get back 100 on Harvey Norman; you'd need an Amex Australia issued Amex for it. Expired now.

    Can your friend not send it to you cheaper than shopmate?

      No mate. Couriers charge anywhere between 70-100 AUD, whereas shopmate charges around 65 AUD(with promo coupon) . So this is better
