XL (Approx 700g Each) Honey Gold Mango Tray (8 Mangoes) $14 @ Woolworths Raymond Terrace (NSW)

200

Not as cheap as the other mango trays posted but these things are massive.

The smallest was 665g and the largest was a whopping 745g.

8 in a tray for $14, works out at $1.75 each which is a bargain for huge mangoes.

Had one this morning and it was pretty nice for a change.

Woolworths Raymond Terrace had plenty of trays available, at least 20.

Receipt

I like to eat mangoes on my own, so I can make a mess and eat like a pig.

You didn't pay with discounted WISH gift cards, please hand in your OzBargain membership.

I like to pay in cash because it's easier to get a refund.

Thinking of taking back the mango skins and seeds and telling them I didn't like them and want my money back.

      • You’re a smart cookie, scab.

Thanks Doweyy, pretty sure I'm going to be a Power User soon.

      • I've never had any trouble getting a cash refund when I've paid with gift card. I didn't realise it could be a problem.

      • Sounds like a graduate of Irrawang High right there

  • Damned! I should’ve known mangoes would’ve been cheaper in Raymond Terrace North! I shopped at Raymond Terrace South this morning.

      North is where it's at.

      • Yep. It was worth an extra trip. Thanks.

  • You didn't like "the mango skins and seeds"? I never tried them.

  • They are 3.90 at my local in MEL, still bought some yesterday as I'm a sucker for Honey Golds… They are simply the best mango out there.

  • I bought this from Woolworths before and somehow it was so sour! Not honey mongo at all.

      Not honey mongo at all.

      You're right, they're not mongo.

  • Anyone know any deals for this in Perth?

Just had another one of these mangoes which was a bit more ripe and I have to say it was the best mango I've ever eaten by far.

The flavour, texture and ripeness was perfect and because there was so much it was moorish.

Never knew a Honey Gold could taste this good as all the ones I've tried were mediocre and I've always preferred KP.

But these are so nice, going to drive back the 40 minutes to get another tray.

And even though I don't really have the room for a mango tree I'm going to sow from the seeds and keep the best one for my backyard.

Having a tree with fruit this good would be heaven and worth the wait.

    • Hey that's a great idea to plant one. I will do the same. Do I need one plant or two to cross pollinate?

      • Only one, don't need to pollinate.

  • I like mangos…
