Much better option too. Amaysim provides 2 year Australian warranty so you can't really go wrong. Note 9 is expected to be released around August 2018, prices will come down fast soon.
I'd rather pay the extra for local stock which gives me access to Samsung locally.
The problem with these retailers offering their own warranty is they control the whole process. They outsource the assessment of the phone to their own third parties or are biased when they assess in house to their own benefit. If you read their warranty policy it basically recommends you to contact the manufacturer of your phone to determine if something is wrong before you send it in haha….
According to recently leaked Snapdragon 845 devices release schedule (https://www.phonearena.com/news/All-major-Snapdragon-845-pow…) - Note 9 will be announced in September so i wouldn't expect it available before October 2018. Although I'm waiting for S9+ as it reportedly will get double lenses setup and better positioned fingerprint sensor.
My wife had a problem with her S7 and took it to a Samsung store. They swapped it over on the spot after asessing it. You will not get that with a grey import. They will have your phone for weeks.
Technically it is $300 cheaper.
